Residing in the Attic, Dru's bedroom is probably the largest bedroom, as the whole attic is her bedroom. Her sleeping area is the largest part of her room, as it holds a queen sized bed, a couch, a desk, an ottoman and a few tables. In here, she does most of her socializing, should she have any guests. The wooden floor has a plush Moroccan rug in the center, with her bed against one wall and her seating on the other side of it. She has four lamps on tables and her desk, and a fifth lamp as a floor lamp. In total, she has 5 pairs of windows in which provides light during the day, while her lamps provide light at night. Her room is decorated with things she collected herself and the walls are decorated with paintings she'd made. Intruders beware, she sleeps with a dagger under her pillow.
On her desk, she has a lamp with an orange shade, a stereo, a laptop, a notebook, a stray sketchbook, and probably a stray book. The navy blue couch, is large enough to sit four people comfortably. It is decorated with two throw pillows and a blanket casually tossed over the back. The ottoman is more like one of those pillow holders, but bigger. It rests to the right of the couch and is a pale blue. It has a emerald green blanket folded neatly on it with a white pillow at it's corner. on the wall next to the bathroom, lies an old but large armoire, where she keeps her clothes and a couple weapons. There is a tall dresser next to it, where she keeps more clothes and blankets.
Off to the left side, is her bathroom, inside it has a large porcelain claw-foot tub, big enough to fit her 6'1 frame comfortably. There is a rustic mirror hanging above it. There is a set of drawers where she hides her spare sheets, towels and other things. The paneling is a light teal colour but rather than being hideous, it is rather charming. The double doors have a pair of white curtains on each door on the inside, so no one could see inside if they tried. On the far wall is a sink with another mirror, and closer to the set of drawers is a toilet. She has a couple potted plants to make the room seem more cozy, and a stool that she uses to hold her towel while she bathes.
Finally, there is a secret room, the door on the right side of the bedroom. Inside, she has a bulletin board with photos from home, sketches, book quotes, memories, and songs she'd written but never published. The walls are lined with bookshelves to hold her own personal library. unfortunately, she has so many that more books are in boxes and piles on the floor. Some even are piled on the bookshelves themselves. This is her favorite room in the entire house. She spends a majority of her time in here, so much time, that there is another bed in case she accidentally falls asleep.
Dru's towering frame nearly reached the ceiling, so she leaned against the wall with her arms crossed as the intruder Xalia held captive gave her two cents. "I should probably tell you the 'full' story. I was waiting outside, and me being me, I got impatient. I knew someone was inside, but they weren't answering the door. I wasn't thinking straight, so I hurled myself in." At this, Dru snorts. 'This girl is an idiot, I would've killed her if it were my home.' As if reading her mind, Xalia growled at the idiot girl, "Even if there was someone in the house, you can't just come barging in, thinking that it'll be alright for you to do so. If I were home, you would have been dead the instant you stepped foot inside my house," Dru watches as Xalia sets the knife down, Dru's hang immediately flies to her dagger in case the girl tries to get the Mistress back. She notices the girl, who couldn't be more than 14, have the audacity to glare at her and the others. Unable to help herself, she winks at the cocky brat after mouthing 'bite me' and blowing her a kiss.
Smirking, she turns her attention back to the matter at hand. The girl mentioned Eve, the other girl that had intruded. Dru's eyes flicked to her, scanning for a threat. She couldn't find any, but didn't take her eyes off of the younger woman. Xalia soon dismissed the two informing them that they were to prepare dinner. Xalia headed towards them and upstairs, saying to Jackal "Don't have too much fun with all the ladies while I'm upstairs," She avoids a scoff knowing that she wouldn't dare should it anger Xalia more. The Lady of the house headed upstairs quickly followed by Jackal. The girl she had stood beside, touched her shoulder lightly, her eyes asking the silent question, Are you okay? She nods, "Just protective," She glances at the intruders skeptically before heading upstairs to claim her bedroom of choice.
Dru had pulled up in her lovely car, but as soon as she stepped out, she knew something was wrong. There were foreign scents covering the porch. Leaving her suitcase in her locked car, she blitzed into the house following the newer scent of Xalia and the scents of the vampires from the bar. She came in behind the redhead from the bar (Vivian) and stepped up beside her. Her arms crossed as she surveyed the scene in front of her with cold eyes. Without realizing it, her own fangs grew as well as her instincts to protect her leader. However, she knew it wouldn't be necessary, she had the whole situation under control. She had a knife to one of the girl's throats, but her eyes flooded red when she saw that the other one could potentially attack Xalia. She doubted they would risk it though, it was five pissed vampires to two idiotic intruders.
Something tickled her nose, it was the two intruders' scents. She turned her head slightly, and her nostrils flared as she tracked the scents without moving. They'd certainly made themselves comfortable, knowing this made her territorial instincts kick in. She could feel her muscles tensing, anticipating a fight. The dagger at her hip was a comfortable weight, practically begging her to pull it out to defend Xalia. She kept still though, it wasn't her home to defend yet. She couldn't help the snarl building in her throat however, she kept her mouth firmly closed as the snarl rumbled in her chest. Xalia could handle it, but just in case, she had four more vampires behind her to back her up.
Character(s): Dru Riley and Phoenix Riley The fighting sisters xD Duration: June 16th-21st Reasons: I will be away at a mission trip with my church, so I wont be able to post, I don't have a phone sadly, if I did, I wouldn't worry about posting this.
"I don't care about your past, you're here under my rules. I will see your worth, and will determine what you will do for my Clan," Xalia's tone was firm, her look dangerous, only making her more attractive. Dru nods solemnly, showing the older female she understood. Attempting to lighten the mood, she gives off a contagious smile and sips her martini that the kind bartender refilled. "Of course Mistress Xalia, the damned council may want me to do one thing, but that doesn't mean I do it. My loyalty is to you first m'lady." When she speaks, her tone is deadly serious and her smile drops. A darkness passes over her face, not one of a lie, but one of remembrance. She remembers saying the exact thing to Calixia a few years ago, oh how she missed her old Clan. She saw exactly how similar Xalia was to Calixia, playful at times but still a dangerous woman who could be deadly if need be. Dru knew which buttons to push to set someone off, but she also knew to stay away from them.
"We should get all of you home, and fitted into the house as soon as possible," Dru hears Xalia call out. 'I guess this means she liked me.' She downs the last of her martini and pays for her meal. She winks at the bar tender, "Thank you for the meal." She gives him a bright smile before turning in her stool and coming face to face with the male who'd been a seat away. “Mind your tongue little one, don’t want to lose it now do you?” She gives him a bored look and stands, clearly taller than him at 5'11. She stretches her long body and gives him a smirk mirroring his own. 'Two can play at this game.'"And you should mind your own business. keep in mind that we're going to the same house... eternity sure does seem like along time to go without your favorite member. Although it probably doesn't matter, I seriously doubt that it's a big risk for you." She smirks and bumps past him to get to her car outside.
Dru gets into her car and puts the hood down. She puts her headphones in, putting on the song, "Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time" by Panic! At The Disco. 'How accurate.' She thinks as she puts her aviator sunglasses on, starts her car, and drives off.
~Exit to Clan House~ OOC: I don't hate you either Jackal! Dru doesn't take threats well xD
Dru was happily sipping away at her fix when the vampiress who had been making her rounds made her way to her. "Might I ask what a lovely little vampire like you is doing around here?" Dru smiled while taking a swig from her glass. She would lean back against the bar, propped on her elbows, and set her glass down before replying. "You caught me." She smiles at the raven haired beauty. "I think the better, more important question is, what is a beautiful Clan Mistress doing in a bar like this? A dashing young woman like you deserves class, elegance." Upon receiving an answer, she'd open her mouth to say something, but the bartender would interrupt. "Ma'am, your burger." She would turn to take it from him with a smile in thanks and would promptly put a $100 bill in the tip jar. She would proceed to take a bite of the burger and chew it thoughtfully before responding to the Mistress.
"I'm sure you know about the impending war? The one that your other recruits probably don't know about."She'd wipe her mouth and sip at her martini, allowing the Mistress to process the information. "You see, I know about it because I am a veteran. This isn't the only clan, there are hundreds, I came from the Portland Clan on the Council's orders. They should've called you or emailed you, but I doubt they did. Our war was just over, the Treaty just signed, when they decided to throw me back into another one." She would take another bite of her burger, chewing it calmly while the vampiress took in the information. "Supposedly, they want me here to train you warriors, and teach them where exactly you need to strike a Lycan. However, I think the real reason I am here, is because my sister is here. She's a Lycan, you see. It's my punishment to fight her since I killed the Vampiress who turned me. Evelyn Peterson was her name, did you know her? She was apparently well known." Having finished her burger, she'd sip at her martini and order a water while she waited for the Mistress to respond.
Dru pulls into the parking lot of Toronto Bar and Grill in her 2015 Ford Hennessey. She'd drove all the way from Portland and was starving. But why not get a drink first? She parks and steps out of the car, she was dressed in an old fashioned way, but who cares? It's Canada, it's still partially cold in the spring. She leaves her coat beside the large suitcase she'd hauled with her. As for the dagger at her side, well she had a 'license' to carry, and she was old fashioned when it comes to weaponry. She wasn't a fan of guns anyway. Besides, the dagger helps her cut apart her victims.
Calixia wasn't happy to see her go, but what can you do when the Council forces your hand? She walks in casually to the bar, only to see a group of vampires already there. 'Isn't this just...wonderful...' She gives an easy grin as she pushes her aviator sunglasses up onto the top of her head. As she walks in, she passes a single Lycan muttering something. "Bet they'll be eyeing up some drunkards to lure for a meal," She spins around with a grin on her face, her fiery hair whirling with her and landing softly against her shoulder. "Actually, drunkards and junkies taste disgusting, they're generally bad for you." She winks and blows him a kiss before turning and heading to the bar. She jumps to sit on an empty bar stool a stool away from another vampire, this one a male(Jackal). She'd disguised her scent so well, it'd be hard to tell she was a vampire if it weren't for the pendant swinging from the chain around her neck. Especially since her skin was pretty dark for a vampire. Even then it was hard, since the pendant kept disappearing into her cleavage. Her shirt's cut made it more difficult, bordering on modest and sexy.
It didn't take long for her sea green eyes to catch the attention of the bartender. Her alluring smile and wink made him have trouble swallowing, and she watched his Adam's apple bob in his throat at his unease. "What can I get you?" She tapped her lips as if in thought, as if she were seriously having to consider what she wanted. Smirking innocently, she answers, "I'd like a Vodka Cran-Apple Martini please. Ooh and can I have a bacon cheese burger with avocado? Cooked to medium rare please." Her eyes dance with mischief as he nods and turns away. It doesn't take long for him to bring her the martini she'd ordered.
When the bartender was busy helping another customer, she slipped a shot of blood into her drink and mixed it in with her straw. Her eyes didn't turn red, since she's had practice with keeping the eyes normal with small amounts of blood, human or animal. Dru sighed as the fix entered her blood stream. It had been almost a week since her last meal, snacks can only go so far. But this current snack could hold her over until she got a chance to hunt. She saw a human girl waiting the tables of the restaurant and admired her physique. She was fairly attractive for a human, and Dru was liking the view. She swiveled in her stool to lean against the bar and crosses a long leg over the other elegantly. She waits for the obvious leader of the clan to make her rounds as she sips her martini innocently. Dru could wait, she was immortal after all, she had all of the time in the world.
