"I must say, this is probably the nicest interrogation I've ever been in."
Slate orbs snapped up at her words, brows furrowing and smile turned into a thin line at the sudden disappearance of the girl’s bluntness. Where had it gone? He had himself turn round to face her, one arm folded over his chest and hand griping the bicep of his other arm, the arms fingers delicately placed under his chin and round his cheek, a thinking posture he had taken too long ago. Peering up at the ceiling he took to trying to understand what his instincts were trying to point out to him, but eventually he would put the thoughts to rest, unable to prove that she would be hiding anything, and so he returned to the conversation, a grin returning to his expression, but a little more forced than usual.
“So…. what abilities, or shall we say….benefits, are you bringing to this clan?” Hand that had been up near his face lowered back down near its partner again crossed over the chest, a more relaxed position the male found it and so slowly began strolling, his pace indeed unrushed while he made his way round the room to look at what it had to offer, all this would be done only to appear less interested in her, yet it wasn’t true, for he was now deeply wanting to find out more about her, that was if she let him.
But she was only one of the many females that were in this house hold, each with the possibility of catching the monsters eye like this one had. But they would all had to wait their turn.
He couldn’t help it, her words caused a chuckle to be let out, a smile planted on his lips as he remained to gaze at what lay outside the home, though every sense focused on her, as if eyes were on the back of his head, as if able to smell the ginger that floated off her soft lavish hair, and able to see the emotion of annoyance in her words, plus, even if she hadn’t come up close he wouldn’t be too disappointed, distance could be crossed quickly if needed.
The manipulative Jackal quickly understood the game, yet he yearned to know what piece she was on the playing board, her possible moves and most importantly her motive, for she was a challenge, and he loved challenges.
Little fazed him when she put forward her bluntness, he remained intrigue, and the more she pushed the more he pulled. “Oh don’t be like darling, come now, will start nice and easy. How about your name?” Only did his head turn slightly to the right, allowing him to side glance at the little creature. “Mine’s Jackal.” Again his deceptive smile broadened before he turned his skull back to the window while awaiting her response.
The male vamp strode into the lounge, looking round before making his way towards the large glass windows that shone view of the forest the clan lived by, one where they would hunt and possibly spar, he actually craved a good fight at the moment, plus he wanted to see the capabilities of the other clan members, surely Xalia wanted the same, and so they would all eventually do so. Years of experience were on his side, yet he remained intrigued to see the others in action, it would make the journey all the more fun.
Thinking about it he would call out to one of them that was in the kitchen, eyes would remain focused on the outside world while he spoke, his voice soft yet menacing in some way. “You haven’t said much have you darling? Why don’t you come over here so we can have a chat. Hmm?” Surely she would know that he meant her, she hadn’t spoken at all during her time here, and he had a slight interest in what she was here for, and what she shall provide to this clan, and the upcoming war. Arms folded over his proud chest as he awaited her response or her approach which he would prefer.
Movement of his hand slowed, along with the music, and eventually the bow was gently pulled away from the thin strings of the delegate violin as the song came to an end. The man stood motionless for seconds, as if a statue with his hand still up with his bow that was inches away from the violin that lay on his shoulder. He would not move, but his eyes flashed open with a sudden snap, orbs swirling with crimson staring widely into nothing, though slowly this color faded, a gentle grey seeping through and overriding the previous shade, with this his recent straight thin lips twitched, and with little effort a devilish smile reappeared.
He was back.
A husk like laugh escaped from his smile as he swiveled round, kneeling down to place his violin back into its case along with its bow. Once standing back up he would undo his coat revealed a grey shirt, silently place the coat upon his bed while he decided he was indeed of something to do, and soon recalled Xalia’s previous statement. A scoff presented itself as he glided to the door, saying with little lift in volume to the female that had been in her room for some time. “Better not take too long Xalia, though I am a patient man I do have urges to feed.” Again he chuckled to know one but himself as he slowly walked back down stairs.
You might wanna listen to this while you read. You'll get what I mean later XD: youtu.be/hS-LQTcu2mw
The male slunk out the door, and before entering the lounge would he go to his suitcase, finding that his car keys lay upon it, and so picked them up and placed them into his pocket. It was then that something caught his eye that was propped up against the large bag, and there and behold was a violin case, his violin case; on it was a sticky note which the man picked up, reading it carefully.
Play her once in a while for me. Please.
-Veronica-
A light smile formed on his face in response to his friend’s note, and thanked that his lovely Darla wasn’t forgotten. Itching to play, the man opened up the violin case, revealing the beautiful violin, not a single scratch on its glazed wood since it was given to him. The male vamp had his fingers trail down the strings at its neck, finger tips ever so gently feeling over the bridge before finally coming down to its chin rest. Oh how he missed her, Darla, whenever he was in need of getting away from this world he would go to her, and together they would disappear with the help of music.
And that was what he was about to do. Like he cared if the others heard him, the man deserved his own alone time didn’t he? And so he went off to find a possible room to be on his own, holding his violin and her empty case and the suitcase he made his way up the stairs, aware of the fact that Xalia must have already been in her room, but surely he would be more prone to be approached by more vampires if he was downstairs, so he decided to head upstairs, finding that one vamp was better than four.
He entered the room with little noise, putting his suitcase to the side along with the violin case, before standing in the middle of the bedroom, looking down at the instrument that lay in his hands. “It’s been a while hasn’t it Darla, you’re not mad at me are you?” He asked the violin, holding her up to check that they were no scratches upon her that would have been caused during her ride here. Seeing that there were none he spoke again. “But do not worry, I have something in mind, so that we can disappear again.” In that moment Jackal brought the violin up to the correct position under his chin and the bow at the ready.
One, two, three.
He began, the song he chose was one of modern age, though he believed if he ever had the chance this was the song he would play to his mother, though sadly she had not lived this till this day. River flows in you was among Jackals favorites, composed by Yiruma. The male vamp had memorized notes dancing in his head as his bow moved back and forth to create the melodic master piece.
Jackal was known to be a deceitful man, causing chaos and madness wherever he went, people believed that whatever part of his heart that was left was only darkness and nothing that was good about him could be saved. But, it was moments like these that were truly rare to find, hidden deep within a cell, locked up and buried, yet were not impossible to catch, like a diamond in the ruff they were scattered across barren land, though if you looked hard enough you will find a man with a heart, with love for his mother who no longer lives to hear his music.
Oblivious to the time passing he played on, not giving a dam if the world heard him.
OOC:(Thought I would show you guys a softer side to Jackal, he isn't all that mean. But I will warn ye, this won't last for long XD)
Neither large nor small, this room is well suited for the male vampire, having a soft cozy bed to sleep on with room for two if needed, along with a small chair and leg stool by the fire place that will allow him to read near its warmth, while the room still giving him the open space that he needs to play his violin to his hearts content. Though unnoticed by the many that enter, the room does represent him in some way, simple and straightforward to the naked eye, but delve deeper and hidden beauties and secrets are revealed.

The man was really hoping for a good brawl, it had been too long since he had been in one, and he missed the adrenalin one got from it. But never the matter, the leader handled herself well, and it pleased him that he wasn’t following someone other than her who didn’t know what they were doing, it seemed the man had an eye for these things, capable of telling whether one was up for the job or not, and to him she seemed able to hold her own and keep everyone in line.
A pale hand went to scruff his hair up slightly, lowering his hood in the process, slate grey eyes watching the leader head through the doorway.
"Don't have too much fun with all the ladies while I'm upstairs,"
He laughed, replying with a sly grin of his own. “Of course not.” He answered with fake innocence, though he knew she would see through it, he was just having too much fun with all this. With all these females around it was too difficult not have a little fun, though they would have to wait, or actually he would have to wait. “Well you heard her ladies, better get on with dinner.”
Jackal turned round, heading through the door to explore the rest of the house while its owner remained upstairs.
The male would bring himself into the house, grey orbs peering at the interior of Xalia’s place, gazing at what lay within the modern home. It was then did he chuckle as a car would park in the drive way, heels clacking against the earth as they made their way to the front door.
“Why sweet heart, perfect timing.” He smiled before turning round to face the blonde who slyly grinned in return. “I thought you wouldn’t make it.” His eyes trailed down her figure for she carried an expensive purse in one hand and held the handle of a suit case in the other. Batting her lashes she replied. “Well of course I would come darling.”
Jackal had many connections having lived for so many years, and this female was only one of thousands of vampires in which he knew. She owed him from their previous encounter they had a few years back and now having brought his car and a bunch of clothes her debt was paid.
“Anything else?” She asked him, as she would look over her shoulder, having already turned round to leave. “That would be all.” He stated before watching her leave the house and off to where ever.
The male vampire would chuckle to himself before moving the suit case to the side so it was out the way, he would then enter the kitchen making little to no noise as his gaze landed on the two new vampires, one being held by the neck by Xalia, knife at the throat. Jackal would cross his arms over his chest as he watched with interest, curious of where this was headed.
Jackal couldn’t help but chuckle to himself as he was reminded of what Dru had said to him, how easy it was to pull at another’s strings with simple words, poking at their squishy parts, and get them to reply with harsher words then the one who started it. He had gotten a reaction out of her, and oh how much he enjoyed getting a reaction, it was as easy as taking candy from a baby, well she was one in his eyes, a brat who couldn’t keep her mouth shut.
The lanky two fanged male carelessly walked towards the house, with little care at his slow speed compared to the others, he knew he was fast and he didn’t need to prove it to anyone and so instead strolled with a god like stride towards the house. Hands within his pockets and hood slumped over his head. Cars and people would pass him with little acknowledgement to his existence, and he walked past them with no acknowledgement to theirs, it was a strange feeling to Jackal for the modern era were slightly more oblivious then there ancestors who went around looking for witches to burn and searching for lycans and vampires under the full moon. But then again there were those who still looked for his kind, forever searching.
Finally the man had come to the house, and little surprised him about the two new vampires who had entered Xalia’s home, their scents noticeable against Lyra’s and Xalia’s.
“Looks like this ain’t going to be boring after all.”
With a scoff the male vamp headed inside to watch it all unfold.

Jackal

The man watched with amusement as the red head replied with her entire life story, one that was an absolute bore to the male vamp. To him she seemed eager to let everyone know of her capabilities, even going as far as mentioning that the council sent her to train the warriors. He couldn’t help but let out a scoff as she said this. Jackal knew that this female contained a large amount of arrogance in her personality, for it wouldn’t be that difficult to tell due to having his own arrogance, but what would be the difference between the two of them was that he knew when to contain it, and she didn’t. Well that’s what he thought.
He couldn’t help but snicker after Xalia’s departure, the expression the clan leader had on would reveal to him her dislike to this naive brat, and he made sure to bring out his thoughts of her in his words. “Mind your tongue little one, don’t want to lose it now do you?” He eyed her with his signature smirk, unable to stop himself from releasing a laugh once more. But eventually he turned to look away from her, as he would not waste time on such a petty being, and so instead gracefully rose from where he sat.
The man would gaze at the group of vamps whom seemed interested in joining the clan, and so in need of grabbing their attention he would clap his hands together, before speaking in his charming tone. “Ladies! It’s time we get a move on I believe, we don’t want to keep Xalia waiting.” His grin never seemed to fade away as he spoke not bothered that his voice would reach the many other non-vamps in the building, and with that the male swiveled round to face the door, before strolling out with an aura seemingly soaking in dominance.
----Exit to Clan House----
OOC:(( I don't hate you Dru!! This was all Jackals thoughts, I swear!!! XD))
Jackals expression would remain neutral as Xalia walked off to speak with another male, he was slightly disappointed in the loss in attention on him, but that wouldn’t matter much now would it. Instead he took to leaning back against the bar table as the vamps mingled about, his attention would only be drawn when the smell of dog returned to the bar, the man was surprised on this wolf to enter a place filled with vampires, but then again this was neutral territory and so Jackal loss interest in the lycan.
Minutes passed and too more vampires would enter the busy bar, and soon Xalia would return to address one of the two, in it all Jackal would yawn from boredom, excitement was lost from the scene and he would want to bring it back, but he wouldn’t as much as he wanted to cause trouble and be the misfit he was as he could risk causing an uproar within the council, and so instead he took a different approach.
Once the female addressed would reply Jackal would speak up. “Well… Shall we get things moving along?” He would not raise his voice or quiet it, he would simply look to Xalia with a recognizable grin.
OOC:(( Sorry this is a bit bleh, been having to write for a lot of my characters on other sites today in order to catch up with what I have missed, so been just trying to get it all done, hopefully next post will be better.))
Jackal
Don't like me? Have a seat with the rest of the bitches waiting for me to give a fuck.
Reasons: I have finals coming up so I don't think I'll have any time to post with all the studying. I have no problem with Jackal being ghosted to go to clan house, if he is excepted that is XD. But yeah... all good with me till I return from nasty school and soul draining exams.
She taunted him and he absolutely loved it, it made him shiver with intense pleasure as she challenged him, his grey orbs dared to look into her blue ones. His pale fingers finally found the glass that he had placed on the table, and wouldn’t look away as he took another good long drink, finishing the liquid which made him feel as if there was fire down his throat, yet the sensation was soothing in some way, satisfying his hunger. He would then place the empty glass back on to the table, including the amount of money that was required for having five glasses of alcohol in one sitting.
"Well, not sticking around after the war? My, and I thought we could be friends,"
The female was proving her dominance and Jackal found himself releasing a sly chuckle upon hearing her words, enjoying the girl’s confidence, tormenting him with her flirty statements. “Well well well… someone likes to tease… hmm.” The man would tilt his head slightly as he spoke, playfully flirting back yet knowing he probably had no chance of getting in bed with such a gorgeous female, not without getting kicked out of the clan due to finding someone else to feed him his desires once he was done and finished with her. Though he was being quite flirtatious at the moment, his deadly being was never too far beneath the surface, never too far out of sight, and never losing its crazed need for sex and blood. But for now he would remain the way he was, curious and an absolute creep.
"Her name is Lyra and I expect you both to play nicely,"
Jackal had almost forgotten about the one who sat beside Xalia, the girl finally speaking up after her silence during their conversation. “Nice to meet you.” He replied, his grin never seeming to disappear. “Don’t worry, will play real… nice.” He laughed once more, enjoying it all, for now. The vampire would suddenly turn his attention to another who had approached the three, he wasn’t sure but he may have smelt her earlier, but that wouldn’t matter now would it. Instead, he silently observed her figure as he waited for Xalia to address her, aware yet bothered by the fact he was to follow her orders, it was something quite new to him and would take some time getting use too, probably at some point he would act defiant, but then again, who wouldn’t want to follow such a pretty lady.
Jackal

The glass was slammed back onto the table after a massive gulp, not a drop of liquid remained; his fourth cup had come and gone. It had been a good thirty minutes since Jackal had entered the bar, and he was reluctant to leave as he was to go to the clan house, and would constantly procrastinate and per long the amount of time he stayed. “Nothing better to do?” The bartender asked. “Nope.” The vampire replied with little emotion at the time.
A sudden breeze would enter the quiet building, Jackal acknowledging that someone had entered and therefore didn’t need to look as he already knew that they were both vampires, females to be exact. And so instead of moving away when one sat beside him, he simply grinned. His thoughts wondered to the fact that it was a shame that female vampires could not be easily killed, or dumped without them coming back for revenge, for if there was such thing he would be picking the off one by one with pleasure, as sex with a human was nothing compared to a vampire, they had beauty that was incomparable, and each touch was as if a bolt of lightning went through one’s body, how much Jackal longed for such feeling but his player like ways meant he would leave them once he was satisfied, and not all female vampires like this, but for those who did he was delighted by.
"Hello Xalia, fancy seeing you here on this fine afternoon,"
Xalia…. How interesting…
The man found it funny how instead of him going to the clan, they came to him, which made the introductions all the more sweeter. He would side glance at the lady as she asked him a question.
"May I ask what you're doing here?"
The council had told Jackal about Xalia, but what they hadn’t told was that she was such a beauty, even the one besides her, the two of them looked more than capable of fulfilling his pleasures. His snake like tongue swept across his lips before he spoke, grinning wide as he turned to face her, hood still on and cup still in hand. “Just drinking away my anger.” A loud clang was heard as again the glass had collided with the table, he leaned forward, closer to her face, yet still quite a few inches away so that he didn’t enter the girl’s personal bubble. His breathe smelt of his drink as he whispered hoarsely. “You see darling… I don’t want to be here… but I’ve got no other choice.” With a jerk of his wrist he slid the glass to the bar tender. “Get me another one.” He remained looking at the female, and once the glass was refilled and slid back into his grip he leaned back.
The vampire spoke once more, but no longer in a deathly whisper. “My name is Jackal. I was sent by the council for one reason or another to meet you and join your you know what.” He took another good sip, expecting them to question his name as many thought of it as silly, though even if it was never his real name he found it suiting. Liquid followed down his throat once more before he addressed the obvious. “Look. I’ll try and be submissive, follow your orders, be respectful and all that other crap. No promises. But… once this war is over and all is done, I’m out of here.”
“I see…well that’s wonderful, your parents must be proud.” The belief that he even cared was a mask upon him, the lie rolling off his tongue without a second thought, slate grey eyes watching the female next to him, watching and waiting with patience for the right moment. Fingers would delicately hung round her waist as he sat beside her rather uncomfortably close, for once his hood had been allowed down in order to lower the amount of suspicion and better the chances of him getting a meal, not that he would ever doubt his abilities. She was a college student, having come down to Toronto for a break for a few days and soon met Jackal, how unfortunate that was. Her name was Amanda, and little did she know what fate awaited her.
“So what brings you to Toronto?” Her voice was annoyingly chirpy, but she would do as a meal nevertheless. The question had brought on a frown which he quickly corrected, securing his mask of deviousness. The thought of being threatened to come down here brought saliva from the back of his throat to spit at the shoes of the council. “Ahh… Toronto… Little Toronto.” His thoughts were not revealed in his words, for she would not need to know of the true reasons of his arrival to the bullshit of a town, but as much as he would deny it, the many killings and chaos he brought to the countries he had visited was what placed him here, the council fearing of the release of the vampire secret due to human suspicions, yet Jackal found no understanding to their reasons, and only finally agreed to come for their stating of his great abilities that could be put to use in such a big of a war against what he thought of as filthy mutts. “Just here for a visit, nothing more.” Again with the lies, truth not needing to be told to a little, pathetic creature that would be soon gone from the world.
Crossed legs would inch themselves closer to the girl, mouth near her neck as he breathed in and out, the sound becoming huskier with every whiff he took, but this vile act he was about to commit was not to be done here, no, somewhere more, private…. “Come….” He purred, as the hand that lay at his side pulled up to caress her cheek as he repeated himself. “Come…. Come with me…” The man rose from where he sat, tugging along the girl who so desperately wanted what she thought she was going to get, yet failed to see she was hanging round with a mad man. Knowing she would follow he turned round into an alley, one which he had used for the past couple of days, for this girl wasn’t the first. He would walk backwards deeper and deeper into the dark, an index finger would signal her to come closer, to enter his trap.
One. Two. Three. Her final step was into the arms of the beast as her lips collided with his but moments later were left gasping for air as his fangs bit down on her neck, elongating to their full extent, eyes burning red, and skin pale and white. A growl echoed through the alley as her nails dug into his back, like a mouse trying to fight off the lion, yet, there was no way of escaping. In a swift movement he twisted her round and slammed her back into the wall behind them, his teeth still latched on to her neck, her skin grew paler by the second and she neared death.
When little blood was left in her body would Jackal let go, allowing her to fall limply to the ground, and in an attempt to store her O type blood he would kneel down and open a drinking flask and near it to the wound, allowing whatever blood that was left to flow into the bottle. Placing the blood filled flask back in its position he would then unsheathe one of his daggers, twirling it with in his hand. “Sorry sweet heart, but your college days are over. It’s lights out for you.” With that a stab to the heart brought the end, yet he continued to speak to her dead body. “Poor you, never had a chance did you? Was just some depressed girl.” Jackal begun removing her heels. “Who thought she had enough of such a dreadful life.” He would toss the shoes up on one of the buildings. “Who decided to commit suicide by jumping off a building into an alley way.” The man would stand, and with his foot, he stepped on her chest, crushing ribs to give evidence of the story that he was providing, that undoubtedly the humans would believe, even with the littlest of evidence. “How tragic….” His head tilted as he pouted in mockery, gazing at the lifeless little Amanda. “Well I must go now… see you in hell.” The man would finally leave and stroll out the alley, he sheathed his dagger and would pull up his hood and hands would then dig themselves into his pockets before he turned on his heels.
Jackal would reenter the bar and grill, sitting himself down on one of the stools, the bar tender would approach. “Get me anything. I don’t care.” He wave the man off to get him something worthy of his drinking for getting to close would increase the amount of blood lust which he already had as for Jackal, when it came to blood, there was no limit, plus he could smell the rotting stench of a lycan, which wanted to make him snarl, the smell irritating his sensitive nose. The man would return sliding the glass towards Jackal not wanting to get any closer, the vampire caught it easily. He gulped down the liquid, the taste distinguishing his thirst for now, eyes returning to their normal shade, yet remaining hidden beneath the hood.
