Zia took a few moments to consider Finn's question before answering. "I didn't get called in by some council. I'm dead to the council, and the council is dead to me. I stumbled upon this town. I'm a loner," Zia crossed her arms over her larger than average chest, raising the posture in her head and neck. She glanced to Zoelle for a moment before looking Finn right in the eye. Even thought Zia was both a rouge and a loner, she was always taught to instill her dominance. She didn't consider the male a threat, she actually didn't hate his company. She just wanted to let him know he shouldn't try any funny business with her. It was funny how strict the social heirchy of Lycans were. Zoelle probably didn't understand exactly how they operated. It brought Zia back to her days as Beta when she would stare down Omegas and her other subordinates. She did enjoy the feeling of power but she knew what it was like to go mad because of it. Those were her younger days, before she became a wanderer. She glanced to Zoelle. The female was obviously attractive and Zia was taking somewhat of a fancy to the Vampire. Good thing she wasn't attached to the council. They'd be shitting themselves if they had found out. Zia gave a little chuckle to the thought, hopefully no one asked why she found so much humor in this. "If you want to know why, you're a bit out of luck... Finn," Zia hesitated before saying his name, her silvery eyes looking him over. "Anything else we should know?" OOC: Zia is kinda jerky, oopsies. And I'm so sorry for being inactive, school just started and I'm getting really busy. I'm also playing around with the idea of starting my own site. Zoelle Finn
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
It was a bit of a surprise to see the dog run up and ram right into Zoelle. Only a few seconds before Zia had realized what it was, she had tensed her entire body, ready to either fight or flee. Then the shirtless Lycan came. She had to keep herself from staring, an impressive act of will power. She watched the Lycan and his dog for a few moments, then he put his shirt on. Zia leaned over to whisper a comment in Zoelle's ear. "It's a pity her put his shirt back on," She leaned back to her original position and gave a little smirk. Zia then just realized her stance had gotten rather rigid, and slightly dominant. She tried to relax as best she could, she didn't want any conflict with the male, but she was taught to stay dominant. Zia gave a small smile, but it looked a tiny bit forced so she decided to lose it, shaking her head and short cropped hair a little when she did. She decided to speak to the newcomer. "Well, I do consider myself a special snowflake," Zia was joking with Finn about the whole vampire and werewolf thing. Her tone was dry and droll. She looked around, at the forest, at nature in general. "Zia Archipelago," Zia have her full name, she felt it was a formality. Zia was normally defaulty polite. "What brings you here Finn, I know most Lycans have a reason to be here. Are you here to join the pack?" Zia decided to ask the million dollar question. Was this wolf to stay a rouge? Or was he going to become a obsequious pup following a wolf just as blind as him. Zia looked to Zoelle with silver eyes in a partly reassuring way, showing that this Lycan was not meant to be feared. OOC: I'm so sorry for the short post, my posts are all from my phone and it's early in the morning Zoelle Finn
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
Zia took no delay to answer the question at hand as she began walking next to Zoelle again. "I'm looking for friends, I never found much companionship. I've been alone for so many years and I've had a strange want for friends recently. I don't know why, must be all the hormones caused by all the Lycans here. But, I truly have no idea why," Zia shook her head and decided to change the subject before more questions arose. She ran a hand through her short-cropped hair. "How was the rabbit?" She asked, small talk was never Zia's thing, but she decided to stick with her question anyway. Zia shook her head a little, she didn't want any more questions about her past, it seemed to scare people away at times. Zoelle OOC: I'm so sorry this post is so short
"I will have to decline your offer, I can either eat like a lady or like a wolf, and I always seem to lean towards the latter," Zia gave a rather polite nod, stopping her stride to let Zoelle go. "Besides, I do enjoy the blood to some extent so I would hate to take any of that from you," Zia was incredibly polite if she didn't hate you, her mother taught her properly. It was Zia's father who had taught her to rip out throats and snap spines. She knew Zoelle would probably want to be alone. They were both solitary creatures. Zia was only social because she had found someone who was similar to her and she had been alone for so long. She was leaning towards not leaving Toronto, she had never been to a city like this. She hadn't met many vampires, much less ones who she would find incredibly attractive and wouldn't want to suck her blood. Zia looked at her boots for a moment, the black toes speckled with dust and dirt as she waited for Zoelle to return. Zoelle
"Well, no fancy council invited me. I've been wandering ever since I left my birth pack, I've tried to join other packs but it never worked out. I always kept heading north. Now I need a reason to stay," Zia said, shrugging. She began walking and fell in next to Zoelle. "A thing for solitude, I guess we have much in common," She took a deep breath in, smelling th scents of nature, and her vampire companion, whose scent wasn't too hard on the nose. She thought for a second, closing her eyes. She was still walking, something she had gotten used to through all her years of traveling. "If this place proves to be a bust, which is has great potential, I may head to Europe, or Australia," Zia opened her eyes as she spoke, she pursed her lips after she had finished speaking. "All I need is a reason to stay," Zia looked to Zoelle for a moment with her dark rimmed grey eyes. Zoelle
"I'm sorry about your shoes honey, I'm also sorry to drag you out here. I couldn't stay there any longer, Ryan and that other male were making me nervous. I didn't want to lash out and attack in front of the humans," Zia shook her head after Zoelle spoke to her, smirking a bit. She looked the vampire up and down for a few moments, taking in her attractive form. "Don't worry, we can always walk back, or I could carry you, either way," Zia cocked her head as she spoke with a slight chuckle. Zia leaned back forward, standing with her weight on one side of her hip, bringing her hand to rest on her hip-bones. "Tell me about yourself Zoelle, you could only say so much in that cafe with things like that human and eavesdropping waitresses," Zia asked, wanting to know more about the vampire. OOC: I'm sorry for the short post, low muse Zoelle
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
Zia trotted onto the beaten and heavily walked path of the trail. She had beaten Zoelle, it wasn't a surprise considering Zia left the cafe before Zoelle had. She took off the leather jacket, unzipping it slowly, to reveal a hunter's green tank top. The run to the park had heated up Zia's body to the point where a jacket was uncomfortable. Zia bounced up on the heavily soled toes of her combat boots. The soles had been worn down from travel, mainly by foot. Zia was one to look around at her surroundings, she also had a severe fear of airplanes. She leaned up against the nearby trees, the ones that lined the trail as she waited for her companion to catch up. Running in heels and an outfit like that must be truly horrendous. OOC: sorry for the short post Zoelle
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
Zia gave a slight nod to Zoelle, thankful the vampire would get her out of this situation, which was quickly turning awkward. She stood up from her chair, sliding it back into place after it was vacant. "Zara, we must get together again sometime, it was lovely meeting you," She said to the redhead werewolf, a slight smile playing on her red lips. She decided to address Ryan because he was still making her nervous. It was a tight feeling in her chest as well as a light one in her stomach, but the mutual feeling of dread tied it all together. She let out a little sigh, forcing all the breath out of her lungs. Zia breathed in the scents of Ryan and Zara once more, especially the hunter's if she smelt him in the forest she would avoid him. Watch the company you keep Zara, I hope your anniversary present isn't a silver bullet to the head Zia thought to herself. She had no idea why she was getting so upset, she hadn't known these people for long. It might be that they had been her first chance for actual friends in ages. Zia wondered what her mother and father would think of her having a vampire as a companion. It was no reason for Zia to discriminate, they were both more powerful than humans anyway. "I'm going to the trails Zoelle, it's what I've been dying to do since I've gotten here," Zia gave a slight smirk as she turned her head to the gothic vampire. The Lycan was truly grateful for company, whoever it was. ///Exit to trails// Addressed: Zara Bancroft Zoelle Mentioned: @ryan
"I'm..." Zia began glancing at the large male who had just entered the cafe, he was an obvious Lycan. She tapped her fingers in the table even faster, her nails hitting the surface repeatedly. "I'm fine, just taking things in," Zia, in a way, lied, not telling the entire truth. The large male made her a bit nervous reminding of the males that took over her pack and some males that she had met over the years. Zia glanced back to the group, trying to regain her calm composure. Then, as she took a deep breath she realized what Ryan could be, a werewolf hunter, it probably wasn't true but it was enough to put Zia on edge. She didn't have many memories of them but had heard stories of them killing entire packs, pups and all. If Ryan was a Lycan hunter, Zia and Zara would have to tread carefully. Also, Zia would hate to kill Ryan, she found him funny. Zia found herself jumping to conclusions and she calmed herself down again. She realized she had been gripping the table, her claw-like nails leaving scratches in the soft wood. "I'm sorry for that," Zia said with a hint of nervousness in her voice. She kept an eye on Ryan, the grey, almost silver orbs tracking his every move. Her suspicions had already caused her to distrust him, this is why Zia was horrible at making friends.
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
"A hunter, what an interesting profession, you rely completely on luck and skill, not your regular hour-by-hour occupations. Ryan, Dear, if you'll take some advice, don't hunt if you can't track. The deer don't exactly have bright neon signs pointing to them," Zia gave him a small glance. She called the ginger 'Dear' because it simply flowed well with the sentence. The human was interesting to be honest, she didn't find him attractive at the current moment but thought he was a little bit non-purposely funny in his awkward moments. Humans had begun to interest Zia less and less over the years. She would much rather have a mate who was a Lycan than a human, she truly didn't care what gender. The female swung both ways. Heck, her mate could even be a vampire, Zia didn't care. She wasn't outwardly romantic and had lost many of the hopeless romantic traits over the years. Zia did want to be loved though, even if she was a little bitchy. The Lycan looked around at everyone once again. She retained her poker face whilst thinking about love, she wasn't one to get all gushy. Zia took a glance out the window, then looked at her coffee, then back to everyone all in a quick moment, looking a little bit flighty or nervous. Ryan Thompson Zoelle Zara Bancroft OOC: I'm not tagging people as more of an alert to post, but I directly mentioned Ryan and nodded towards you. And I never said I was shipping Zaryan, but they would be ADORABLE
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
"Ryan, in all my years, haven't met a Ryan," Zia muttered to herself after hearing his name. She took a tiny sip of her coffee, she wanted more cake but wasn't going to order more. Society wouldn't take too kindly to that, Zia didn't enjoy to be judged much, no matter how much she flaunted that she didn't care. On another note, it was quite humorous to watch Ryan embarrass himself around Zoelle, Zara and herself. He was a male after all, chasing after any female that had a feature that caught his eye, normally never a facial feature. She tapped the dark nail of her index finger on the table for a moment, thinking. The talk of Zara and her pack interested Zia, so did Zoelle's quips. She was actually just happy to listen to the talk of others. She crossed her long legs, the toes of her combat boots brushing the floor. Though she didn't look like it, she was listening for what the next person had to say. Zara Bancroft Zoelle Ryan Thompson OOC: why am I shipping people already... ARG
Zia took a glance at the human male. She put on a little smirk, she was obviously thinking of something clever to say. "Zia Archipelago, touch my ass, and you're going to get bit," Like Zoelle, she didn't offer a hand to shake, only her name. She realized out of the three of them, Zara was the nicest. Zia let out a little chuckle in her lower toned voice. She noticed how awkward the male was around females, hopefully he wasn't a jock. Zia had sort of a vendetta against jocks, Zia also had a vendetta against a good collection of other types of people, but the list was very long and oddly specific. She sort of wanted to watch the man crash and burn, cheesy pickup lines didn't have much of an effect on her. of course, Zia couldn't say anything for the other women at the table, maybe they had a thing for innuendos and utterly terrible puns, just maybe. Zia's eyes flickered to the human male. she watched him for a moment. She glanced from him back to the others, then back to the human, nodding as if to subtly address him to the others. They probably had noticed, but Zia wanted to point him out further. "I would appear we're a bit similar Zoelle. Loners," Zia smirked, raising an eyebrow ever so slightly. She decided to address Zara next. "You don't need to apologize for my past, I'm sort of stuck with it. As are most. Me being driven out of that pack is why I'm here today," Zia shrugged. "Okay ladies, you're thinking it, I'm thinking it, let's address the elephant, er... Human, in the room," Zia spoke in a low voice, making a small gesture with her coffee mug, which she hadn't taken a drink out of for the past few minutes, she only got coffee for the caffeine, Zia personally hated the taste. Zara Bancroft Ryan Thompson Zoelle OOC: I think Ryan said the "Z's that swing both ways," I LOVE that and we could play swing music. Or if we wanted to include Ryan in our band we could be "Ryan and the Z's," or "Ryan and the people that might possibly eat him,"
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
"Wonderfully said Zoelle," Zia nodded, addressing the she-vamp and her thoughts on conflict. "I don't think I could've said it as well as that,". Zia was avoiding the question from Zara. It made her think about the pack she was born in, her mother, her father. Then, Zia took a deep breath and looked towards Zara with her dull gray eyes. "It wasn't much of a choice for me to leave Beta, I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. My parents were the Alphas, I was appointed Beta after sometime in their rule. Then a younger and more powerful male and his friends came and challenged them, I couldn't win in a fight against a male much larger than me, and if you know how young males are around females," Zia gave a quick gesture to herself. "It would've been best for me to leave before I got pregnant. Really, that's all, I just got forced out," Zia shrugged. "It's not as glamorous as you think, I was younger, not as powerful, and I sure as hell didn't want to be mates to an Alpha whom I hated with the burning passion of a thousand suns," It was obvious Zia was a little annoyed by the story, not telling it, but remembering it. She realized she had balled up one of her fists, she undid it and stole a glance at where her nails had dug into her skin. Zia hoped Zara was happy with her answer, because Zia was not in the mood to say anymore. Zara Bancroft Zoelle OOC: All of our characters have names that start with "Z" and are Bisexual... This is kinda AWESOME, they should start a band
