Mountain Trails that line the hills and mountains of the area, these are great paths to stay on for hiking and such. Vampires and Werewolves are allowed to hunt here.
Zia trotted onto the beaten and heavily walked path of the trail. She had beaten Zoelle, it wasn't a surprise considering Zia left the cafe before Zoelle had. She took off the leather jacket, unzipping it slowly, to reveal a hunter's green tank top. The run to the park had heated up Zia's body to the point where a jacket was uncomfortable. Zia bounced up on the heavily soled toes of her combat boots. The soles had been worn down from travel, mainly by foot. Zia was one to look around at her surroundings, she also had a severe fear of airplanes. She leaned up against the nearby trees, the ones that lined the trail as she waited for her companion to catch up. Running in heels and an outfit like that must be truly horrendous. OOC: sorry for the short post Zoelle
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
Zoelle
You are a vampire. Own it, live it, love it!
Zoelle let grey contact-covered vision linger on the distanced silhouette of darkly dressed Lycan. Quite frankly, she was enjoying the view. Her mind somewhat ticked, turning with questions relating to; what she was doing, why she was here and what she planned. All, in her mind, quite important notes.
Just ahead she would note the slowing of Zia, she'd slowed down and started to remove her leather jacket, surely to keep herself from over-heating. Then she bounced upon her feet, an action that brought Zoelle's head to a very minor tilt. Before long she was pulling up herself, the Lycan was leaned against a tree and she was lightly holding her bag to her side and eventually halting.
"Remind me never to do that again," The female would quite audibly place forth. Her chin pulling down as she set her sights on her shoes, caked with bits of dirt and debris from the run. "They'll be no good for anything but running now," A gentle chuckle would eventually slide from her chest as she shifted upon lengthy limbs. Their soles would be more worn now, and they'd be less comfortable to walk on smooth surfaces with surely.
"Now, Zia," As Zoelle began to speak once more, she raised her gaze to the darker creature. Greyed gaze working to meet the others. "I hope you enjoyed the run. Did it help you calm some nerves?" She'd let the corners of her mouth tug upwards, pulling violet lips to a smile. She was genuinely curious as she found herself perching on the edge of a large fallen tree not far up the path from where the other currently waited. Her bag to be rested at her feet as she rolled her shoulders and arched her back to crack a few kinks.
"I'm sorry about your shoes honey, I'm also sorry to drag you out here. I couldn't stay there any longer, Ryan and that other male were making me nervous. I didn't want to lash out and attack in front of the humans," Zia shook her head after Zoelle spoke to her, smirking a bit. She looked the vampire up and down for a few moments, taking in her attractive form. "Don't worry, we can always walk back, or I could carry you, either way," Zia cocked her head as she spoke with a slight chuckle. Zia leaned back forward, standing with her weight on one side of her hip, bringing her hand to rest on her hip-bones. "Tell me about yourself Zoelle, you could only say so much in that cafe with things like that human and eavesdropping waitresses," Zia asked, wanting to know more about the vampire. OOC: I'm sorry for the short post, low muse Zoelle
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
Zoelle
You are a vampire. Own it, live it, love it!
Zoelle would listen as the Lycan spoke, her gaze lingering over her as she merely nodded. Her explanation was quite understandable and of no surprise. "You didn't drag me out here deary. If I recall correctly, I chose to follow." She'd let a small chuckle escape as she glanced down at her boots. "I've been meaning to get some new ones as it is. Perfect reason to get some now." Once more, she'd chuckle and return her gaze to Zia's leaning form. "Don't worry, we can always walk back, or I could carry you, either way." The way she spoke with a gracious chuckle tickling each word made the normally careless vampire grin. "I'm sure I'll manage, although that is quite the tempting offer." Soon enough the Lycan asked about Zoelle, hinting at the fact he couldn't say much back at the cafe.
"Well, I'm not quite the clan type. Prefer my solitude and peace, y'know?" Still perched upon the edge of downed tree, she would glance at her bag and then peer back up at Zia, meeting her gaze, "There isn't too much to tell really, I've been alive a few hundred years and I've yet to really live. Nothing much of interest in this day and age." She'd almost chuckle as she spoke and, soon enough, would heave herself to a full stand. Bringing her bag up and over her shoulder as she looked down the trail, "Come on. May as well keep walking for a bit." Nodding her head in the direction of the paths continuation she'd begin to stride off. Head high and steps even as she seemed quite able to walk upon the uneven terrain in her awkward shoes. Obviously she'd gotten plenty of experience.
"So, Zia dear, what brought you all the way out here? I've heard rumours of the council gathering Vampires in the area, but thankfully I've not heard from them personally." Half-glancing over her shoulder, the vampire would set grey sights on Zia before looking straight ahead. She'd take in a deep breath, ah the fresh air, the squirrels, birds, rabbits. The slightest rumble would tickle at her stomach as she merely puffed a sigh and ignored the urge. Reminding herself that she'd eaten before arriving and that she should be able to cope for another day or so. But, it had been so long since she'd been in such an open forest with so many fresh scents. Oh the cravings she had right now brought her nostrils to flare as she kept walking. Perhaps this would be noticed by the Lycan, but, Zoelle hoped not.
"Well, no fancy council invited me. I've been wandering ever since I left my birth pack, I've tried to join other packs but it never worked out. I always kept heading north. Now I need a reason to stay," Zia said, shrugging. She began walking and fell in next to Zoelle. "A thing for solitude, I guess we have much in common," She took a deep breath in, smelling th scents of nature, and her vampire companion, whose scent wasn't too hard on the nose. She thought for a second, closing her eyes. She was still walking, something she had gotten used to through all her years of traveling. "If this place proves to be a bust, which is has great potential, I may head to Europe, or Australia," Zia opened her eyes as she spoke, she pursed her lips after she had finished speaking. "All I need is a reason to stay," Zia looked to Zoelle for a moment with her dark rimmed grey eyes. Zoelle
The uniquely colored creature would continue to stride along, her steps light and precise as she almost seemed to glide with a sense of grace. The kind of grace only a vampire with years practice could master. Zia had taken up the vampires open side, her paces even and steady as she answered and responded to each question or comment Zoelle had made.
Opposed to her usual personality, a small, taunting grin would flicker and tug at the females lips. A grin that only ever offered itself when the woman was calm, curious and somewhat playful. Though, this she would keep to herself. As she felt another churn within her abdomen she would falter from a large stride to a half-stride before picking back up again. No, she wouldn't let this get in her way as she listened to the Lycan mention something of interest.
She was seeking a reason, a reason to stay in such a place. What kind of reason would someone like her be looking for? And then, as she cast a glance, one of curiosity towards the darker female, she would match the others darkly cloaked gaze. "My dear, it all depends on what reason you desire most to keep you planted in one place." Zoelle almost had a feeling that she knew what the other woman meant, though, she merely rolled her shoulders, a sense of defense kicking in as she looked straight ahead and took in a light breath. Taunting smile slipping away as she focused ahead.
When yet another twisting knot ripped at her stomach, she all but growled to herself before halting dead in her tracks. "Zia, lovely, would you mind if I vanished for a moment? I truly am quite peckish and it seems my delightful cake was not enough." She had, by this time, turned to directly face the barely taller, athletic female. Steele gaze lacking upon hers in possible as she sought a response. For now, she would wait, after all, it would be rude to take off without at least giving warning and receiving the okay.
It would only be as she thought the idea over that she half hoped the other did not wish to join on a 'hunt', but, then again, Zoelle only suckled the coppery sustenance from within leaving entire bodies of meat to waste. Perhaps the Lycan would enjoy a meal, but, that went against the currently violet creatures solitary nature. She'd grown used to hunting alone, feasting in private and leaving her prey to the wild animals for discarding.
"I will have to decline your offer, I can either eat like a lady or like a wolf, and I always seem to lean towards the latter," Zia gave a rather polite nod, stopping her stride to let Zoelle go. "Besides, I do enjoy the blood to some extent so I would hate to take any of that from you," Zia was incredibly polite if she didn't hate you, her mother taught her properly. It was Zia's father who had taught her to rip out throats and snap spines. She knew Zoelle would probably want to be alone. They were both solitary creatures. Zia was only social because she had found someone who was similar to her and she had been alone for so long. She was leaning towards not leaving Toronto, she had never been to a city like this. She hadn't met many vampires, much less ones who she would find incredibly attractive and wouldn't want to suck her blood. Zia looked at her boots for a moment, the black toes speckled with dust and dirt as she waited for Zoelle to return. Zoelle
Zoelle let her vision linger over the darker woman. Small, curved ears listening to each word she spoke as she responded to a non-existent question, though the vampire would say nothing and merely nod in response. As the other eventually stopped the violet woman would offer her the slightest smile, slender arm reaching to place her bag upon the ground before turning her back to the other and suddenly taking off.
Her split-colored hair floated behind her, the loose strands flailing under the rushing air as her blackened heels struck the earth with a cat-like grace. Grayed vision would all but scan the fast moving scenery as she felt the surge of excitement flutter through her veins. Her eyes visibly gleaming as she felt the natural extension of half-inch fangs to prick the inside of her lip. With a deep breath she would fill her lungs with every scent trail possible.
There! Suddenly the paled woman made a 90 degree turn and pounced, eagerly finding herself landing near a small timber colored hare. A gurgled growl would all but bubble from her throat as she held the squirming, screaming game by the scruff.
"Poor little cotton tail," Her voice light, and bell-like as she tilted her head and mocked a 'sorrow' filled expression. Though, this did not last long, her painted lips would draw wide in a grimace, her eyes shining as she brought the little beasty closer. Zoelle would waste little time in sinking her fangs within the pests neck, eyes widening as a visible under-tone of gold flickered beneath her contacts. Her nail-tipped fingers tightening as she began to let the warm fluids glide down her throat. The feeling of the small body slowly begin to stop fighting easily noticed as it brought the most thrill to the vampire.
Maroon substance easily slipping through the corner of her mouth as a single, thin trail began to slide down her chin. A pleasurable groan to escape her as she let her eyes drift over the various greenery surrounding her. Predatory instincts kicking in as she had crouched, suckling from the beast in a manner most would be hesitant to seeing. It wouldn't take her too much longer before the small fuzzy animal began to feel cold, the warmth of blood rushing through its veins lessening as she let her arms lower, holding the creature lightly as she let her chin pull upwards to look at the sky above.
Her eyes half-closed as she once more took in a heavy breath, the sensation of blood to dance over her tongue as she eventually brought herself to a full stand. Dropping the hare upon the terrain below, no human wandering should find it so far from the trail, at least, not before some other predator disposed of it's flesh and filled its gullet.
With a single arm rising, she would use a single finger to wipe away the rose-colored trail down her chin only to lick it off. "Perfect." The light commentation to herself was aimed, obviously, at no one, and as soon as it escaped her lips, she took off. Retracing her tracks as she spotted Zia still waiting on the path, looking at her boots in an odd manner, though, the vampire would not mention her noticing of it as she pulled to a quick, casual walk to finish her approach.
"Alright, I'm sorry if I took too long. Shall we keep walking?" As she stopped before the slightly taller woman she would possess a brilliant smile. Clearly, now freshly fed and enticed, she would possess a light glow to her appearance, her skin still pale yet naturally so, her eyes covered by her contacts and her pointed teeth now gone. Yes, she was certainly contented as she looked upon the attractive figure she'd entered the forest with.
Bringing her bag back up to sling over a shoulder she would once more begin walking. Her mind back-tracking over conversation as she continued to smile, her social attitude at this time only being offered due to the comfort and enjoyment of having the other woman's company. "So, Zia, what exactly are you looking for?" She'd begin to question, "I mean, in regards to needing a reason to stay."
Zia took no delay to answer the question at hand as she began walking next to Zoelle again. "I'm looking for friends, I never found much companionship. I've been alone for so many years and I've had a strange want for friends recently. I don't know why, must be all the hormones caused by all the Lycans here. But, I truly have no idea why," Zia shook her head and decided to change the subject before more questions arose. She ran a hand through her short-cropped hair. "How was the rabbit?" She asked, small talk was never Zia's thing, but she decided to stick with her question anyway. Zia shook her head a little, she didn't want any more questions about her past, it seemed to scare people away at times. Zoelle OOC: I'm so sorry this post is so short
“Hey! Get back here! Give it here you cocky bastard!” The smile on his face showed his playfulness as he ran, tangled messy blonde hair freely flowing with the wind, it soaked in water, dripping with the liquid like the rest of his body, including his bare chest. It definitely wasn’t his intention to roam around shirtless, but Bandit the dog decided it was to be so, and galloped ahead with Finn’s blue shirt dangling from the canine’s jaws, his coat too soaked with water.
The two had both been in the lake earlier that day, wanting to take a swim before Finn would have to make his way to a new pack that was being formed. But of course his companion had decided to per long their time, and sneakily had grabbed hold of Finn’s shirt and dashed off away with it. The lycan was just pleased that it wasn’t his pants that he thankfully had on now.
Even with the speed of a lycan the man could just not reach the speeding dog that zoomed across the trails and between the growing trees. Of course Finn followed with ease though he had yet to catch up with his silly dog. “Bandit!” He called again in hopes of getting the other male to come back, but this dog had no desire to do so, and kept going while looking over his shoulder with what many would think to be a smile. Not looking where he was going the male dog suddenly slammed into something ahead, a young lady (Zoelle), her legs being collided with the black dogs face and Finn’s shirt that was held in his jaws.
Surprise took on Finn’s features as he quickly made his way towards the two ladies, quickly apologizing for his dog as he grabbed Bandit by the collar and dragged him a good few steps away from the two. “Oh I’m so sorry.” Finn was saying this as he tugged at the shirt that lay in-between Bandit’s mouth, of course the dog just took it as a game and tugged back, that was till Finn lowered his head to face the dog head on, eye to eye, while a smile was still on his lips his words were clear. “Drop it.” The male dog did, before getting a ruffle on the head by the lycan thanking him for doing so.
With everything that had gone on the male hadn’t noticed that his dog had just bumped into a vampire and besides her a lycan, well now he did, with an awkward movement he slowly turned to face them, a little embarrassed about the whole thing, along with the fact that he was trying to stop himself from cringing from the vampires smell, he didn’t want to appear rude, but he hadn’t been around vampires for a while now, and her scent was a bit new to his strong nose. Of course unlike his owner, Bandit’s tail wagged without a second thought, the male dog staring at the two with his bright orange eyes.
Quickly Finn put on his shirt, covering his chest he felt the awkwardness go down a level. “Sorry about him, he can be an idiot sometimes.” He chuckled as he glanced down at his dog for a second before returning his gaze to the girls. “I gotta say, it’s been a while since I’ve seen two of different kinds coexisting, I have nothing against, I just find it rare.” He was being honest; he didn’t often see two of such different species being with one another, though he was pleased that there were some that weren’t going to war, unlike him, which he kind of felt some guilt for doing so.
“The names Finn, this is Bandit.” His casual tone and friendliness proved that he had no difficulties when it came to talking to new people, but were these two the same?
OOC: Thought I'd have him hangout here for now, I hope that's alright with you guys.
Zoelle merely listened, Zia took to explaining what she had been looking for to keep her planted in the one place. A noticeable nod would be offered as the colored creature understood the sudden need for companionship, perhaps it really was the hormones caused by the gatherings of either kind in this particular area.
"How was the rabbit?" Suddenly, the conversations topic was altered, and Zoelle cast a half-glance to the Lycan. A mocking smile picking upon her lips as she soon looked straight ahead as they continued walking. "It was positively petrified." Her words held a tingling nick of toying nature. She could feel the minor tension in the air, possibly caused by the fact both held an air of awkwardness with 'small talk'.
"Bandit!" The faint distanced sound of a man shouting could be heard through the mingling mass of forestry. Zoelle had continued her stride, though her eyes had widened like saucepans and her posture stiffened as she took in a few, long breaths of the fresh air. "Zia," Her voice low, almost questioning as she seemingly had to check that the other woman heard what she had. And, it would not take much longer for her to stop dead in her tracks when something came from the inner forests and headed straight for her legs.
A low hiss bubbled in her throat as she let the mutt come to a halt after running into her, she'd merely glower at it, noticing the adrenaline pulsing veins along his nape. Oh, how she was glad she'd just satisfied her thirst. "Oh, I'm so sorry." The same voice as earlier pierced her focus as she pulled her stare to settle on the topless brute. Another Lycan.
"Perfect." The very faint, very inaudible word slid through pursed lips as Zoelle watched the male retrieve his shirt only to place it back on. He was soaked, clearly, he'd been for a swim just recently. Her impatient gaze merely remained where it was, listening lightly to the words the mongrel spoke. "The names Finn, this is Bandit." He seemed so sincere in his apology and speech.
"Well, Finn, you best be glad I've just eaten. After all, he looks quite delicious." As she accentuated the term 'he' she'd glance down at the excited dog. "Pleasure. I'm Zoelle. And yes, it is quite rare for us to get along. Me and my friend here were just getting some fresh air." Each word she spoke held a light tingle, fluid and eased as she soon re-focused upon the male. Her first remark had clearly been a tease, but that was only if he noted her sarcasm.
"Oh and please do keep better control of him. I don't quite like dogs climbing all over me or ruining my stuff." These words were audibly sterner than her last.
It was a bit of a surprise to see the dog run up and ram right into Zoelle. Only a few seconds before Zia had realized what it was, she had tensed her entire body, ready to either fight or flee. Then the shirtless Lycan came. She had to keep herself from staring, an impressive act of will power. She watched the Lycan and his dog for a few moments, then he put his shirt on. Zia leaned over to whisper a comment in Zoelle's ear. "It's a pity her put his shirt back on," She leaned back to her original position and gave a little smirk. Zia then just realized her stance had gotten rather rigid, and slightly dominant. She tried to relax as best she could, she didn't want any conflict with the male, but she was taught to stay dominant. Zia gave a small smile, but it looked a tiny bit forced so she decided to lose it, shaking her head and short cropped hair a little when she did. She decided to speak to the newcomer. "Well, I do consider myself a special snowflake," Zia was joking with Finn about the whole vampire and werewolf thing. Her tone was dry and droll. She looked around, at the forest, at nature in general. "Zia Archipelago," Zia have her full name, she felt it was a formality. Zia was normally defaulty polite. "What brings you here Finn, I know most Lycans have a reason to be here. Are you here to join the pack?" Zia decided to ask the million dollar question. Was this wolf to stay a rouge? Or was he going to become a obsequious pup following a wolf just as blind as him. Zia looked to Zoelle with silver eyes in a partly reassuring way, showing that this Lycan was not meant to be feared. OOC: I'm so sorry for the short post, my posts are all from my phone and it's early in the morning Zoelle Finn
The devil said to the warrior. "You will be swept away in the storm," To which the warrior replied. "I am the storm,"
Finn
If only you knew how I refuse to let you go, even when you're gone.
"Well, Finn, you best be glad I've just eaten. After all, he looks quite delicious."
Finn chuckled in response, aware of the fact she was only kidding, again he ruffled Bandit’s head, the dog being seated at his side, tongue loosely hung out as he panted heavily trying to get his breath back from his run.
"Oh and please do keep better control of him. I don't quite like dogs climbing all over me or ruining my stuff."
The male lycan would nod in understanding, Finn knew his dog well, and while Bandit was cheeky to some degree the dog knew very well when Finn needed him to settle down and listen to instructions and commands. With little change in tone he replied. “Of course, don’t want him to be eaten now do I.” He smiled to Zoelle before his gaze turned to the other lycan who stated her name was Zia, before she asked a question that had him laugh once more.
“The question that’s on everyone’s mind nowadays.” He sighed. “Indeed I am, for reasons of my own and of course the council. How about you two?” For reasons of his own.....That was about correct, the man was in search of purpose, in search of a new start and to try and mend his damaged heart. The smallest reminder of his reason sent him into moment of silence while he waited for the two to reply, golden orbs drifting to the trees in the distance, the unreal image of her dancing about the trees shone only through his eyes, brown hair made golden by the sun bounced about with her flawless steps, bare feet moving to a silent song, one of sorrow and misery.
He snapped out of it, Bandit rubbing against his leg and pushing his nose against his hand brought him back to reality, for the dog couldn’t see her either, but he could sense the sudden shift in Finn’s posture, but thanks to him Finn didn’t delve too deep, and his faltered smile was corrected as he turned his attention back to the two, and away from the dancing lady.
The female lingered upon lengthy limbs as she watched the male before herself and her 'companion', she'd listen closely as Zia soon responded with her own remarks and Zoelle easily let the comment about the shirt slip to the rear of her mind. She had to admit, her attraction lied more upon her own gender, though the occasional fun night with a male was quite suiting to her enticement also.
"Well, I do consider myself a special snowflake," What an odd comment, though Zoe merely let half a grin take hold of violet lips before slipping away. She herself had befallen silence, a friend she usually greeted with open arms and closed lips.
Then, after a fairly formal full name introduction, the darker woman asked a very intriguing question, one that certainly begged the still air for an answer. It was now that the vampire perked up, her attention clearly split between the two Lycans though predominantly upon the male and his mongrel as she awaited a response. Half a head-cock to be presented as she settled greyed sight upon his beard wearing visage. "The question that's on everyone's mind nowadays."
This response wasn't all too amusing, though still, the colored woman listened on, "Indeed I am, for reasons of my own and of course the council. How about you two?" Just as expected, with a light grimace and wiggle of her head she would all but straighten her posture once more.
"I'm not interested in any of these battles, the council could surely try to make me join the local coven if at all there is one, but they'd not succeed." Her voice was even, each word delicately chosen and her intentions clear. She would not, ever in her life, join a coven. It would be now that she fell silent once more, eyes lingering towards the shepherd at the males feet before shifting to the woman at her side. Would they ever get their walk completed? Without voicing this part she would merely shift her weight once more, hands settled to her sides as she awaited further response.
