Christian let his attention drift to and from the conversation, although not paying attention to much of what was being said. He knew that his attention would be drawn to two females in particular; Rayne and Kari. He liked the two of them well enough, if not more, than the others that were present. It had been a little while since his attention had been caught on anyone, but then again, anyone here would catch his eye. They were almost all extremely good looking, no matter what he tried to persuade to himself otherwise. But his eyes caught themselves upon the body of Rayne, noting how she said his name, and noting what she said. Bringing his attention then back to the dinner table, he brought himself to a seat, and placed his rear against the seat, looking towards the others.
Once everyone was at least settled down at the table, he would bring his hand to glide over towards the silverware. His eyes however, would look to Acacia, and drift over the table, only to land wherever Rayne had settled down. He would shift his gaze towards Kari at times too, but did not make it seemingly obvious that he was looking over the two, and instead ate his meal, waiting for the others to create conversation, while he simply sat there, waiting.
With the entering of another, his head visibly perked at the sound of someone entering that was somewhat familiar. It was the quieter girl that had only talked to Acacia upon her arrival. But now she was talking with him, and he gave a small smile towards her as she asked for beer. She also asked if he could just point her in the correct direction, and he gave a chuckle, adopting a more pleasant persona than he had towards Phoenix. He would appear much more relaxed, not on edge at all, and completely and utterly showing dominance that would radiate from him. Smiling towards Gen, he made his way over towards the fridge, opening it and pulling out a bottle of beer. It was a Bud Light, but it would be appropriate for her possibly. "I hope you don't mind it being a Bud Light, its the only thing we currently have, unless you want me to mix up a more fruitful drink for you," He asked, looking towards her. Christian was quite the mixologist, he'd practice for about fifty years of his life in the trade of making alcoholic drinks.
"If you want, you can also take a seat whereever you like, although the head of the table will be taken, as will the spot to the right of it," He stated, smiling towards the girl. He could see her eyes drift over towards Acacia, whether it was for comfort, or attraction, he wasn't quite sure, but he knew that the female meant no harm by it, and he looked towards the table. "Hopefully the others will join us then," She said, leaning his head towards Acacia as he inclined to ask her a question. "And hopefully the newcomers show themselves too, I'd like to meet them," He smiled towards her as he made his way to lean against the counter, now feeling more relaxed that Genevieve had quite literally dispelled the tension that had set itself within the Kitchen and Dining area. He was thankful to her for that.
(Phoenix I'd suggest not roleplaying others characters. I checked, and none of the actions that were stated actually happened between the characters. I'd suggest from now on to avoid doing that, as its against the rules to control someone else's character.)
Christian looked towards Phoenix as she extended her hand, and it almost irritated him that she'd expect him to show her such respect, to give her something like that. Instead, he let her recoil her arm awkwardly, and watched as she feasted upon ice while filling a cup full of water. She acted like she was of some higher stature, and Christian wasn't too pleased by that. She may have come from a pack where she was a Delta, but right now, she had to sort of jurisdiction to be doing anything of the sort, or acting like she was. When she started to pull out plates, he let out a small huff, looking towards the table that was clearly set already. Acacia however, handled the girl well, although there was some harshness to her tone. He couldn't blame her to be honest. As much as Christian liked having the female's in the house, this was their home just a couple hours ago. And now they were sharing it with multiple other people. Along with a girl that Christian was uncomfortable with. Removing his harsh blue gaze, he looked upon the set table, and too a seat where he normally sat, which was right next to Acacia's spot, which was the head of the table. He'd await the others to return, and hopefully some of the more familiar and welcoming faces would be much more inviting to him than the others.
Christian looked towards Acacia, nodding his head towards her with a small smile that said that he understood what she was saying. He eyed her quietly, knowing that there must be something more. But, as another Lycan, one that was not familiar to Christian at all, entered the room, he let a small frown come across his face as he studied her. She must have been the wolf that his Alphess was talking about. She had this... air to her that Christian didn't like. He looked towards Acacia before letting his head nod towards the red head that was presented before him when his name was spoken. She'd said that she wouldn't be needing any sort of food for the night, and he wondered if that would be the same for some of the other guests within the house. Looking towards her with a small frown, he wondered if she was going to be this courteous only because she'd previously lied to Acacia about her past. Letting a small frown come across his face, he instead busied himself in making sure he was presentable, only having acknowledged the female that had entered for a split second before he continued to busy himself, tidying the place up.
But once there wasn't anymore fidgeting of his body, Acacia would be the only one who would be able to tell that the once flirty male was actually rather uncomfortable in front of the girl that was standing there. Although she was much younger, and not intimidating at all, a strange feeling lay at the bottom of his stomach, seeing as he knew this girl had lied to his leader, his Alpha. The one that he pledged himself too the day that he arrived here. He didn't like that she'd been able to lie so easily, and Acacia surely wouldn't be pleased about the fact either. Or at least, he hoped she weren't. All Christian could do right now was wait for the other newly arrived members to come into the kitchen, where they would admire his and Rayne's work. | Mentioned: Everyone Else | | Addressed: Alphess AcaciaPhoenix Riley |
Christian looked towards Kari as she stated that she'd be leaving towards Acacia. Something seemed a little off by the way that Acacia stood, but as soon as the other two were seemingly gone, the Alphess spoke to him about another two joining them. He let out a small huff, knowing for a fact that he'd not made enough meat at least, to accommodate the two new wolves. "I only had enough for the many that were already here," He sighed out, but the other matter at hand caught his attention. "I've never heard or re-location of a wolf, nor have I heard of another place where the Council is keeping the battlefield, I don't trust her," Christian simply stated. Although she hadn't met the other girl quite yet, he knew that she would most certainly be lying. Since when would the Council have another pack? They'd have sent all of the wolves here to that one if so, it would be too much to manage two battlefields at once, and he'd have understood in there was more than enough wolves here, but it seemed that if she claimed to be Delta that this pack was substantially larger than that one.
"I would believe that she's come from a pack, but not one that was made by the Council," He said, and then started looking through the fridge that was there. There was nothing he could make that'd be able to be done a little while before everyone got there, so he'd decided that he would simply go without. "One of them can have my plate, I have nothing that I could really make, unless I went hunting, but dinner has been dragged on long enough," He said, subtly asking for Acacia's opinion upon the matter, on what he should do to make up for the lack of food that they currently had. | Mentioned: Kari Varnan @rayne | | Addressed: Alphess Acacia |
Christian looked towards the girl that he had asked a question too, listening to her answer within Italian, something he could easily make out. He had dealt with foreign languages, considering his business trade back when he was with his sister, he just never thought to pick up the languages that others spoke. Obviously he'd need to work on at least a couple languages, considering Russian was already native to Acacia, and the new male she had been speaking with, and Italian was something that he knew Rayne could speak, even if it was small words and not a full sentence. He'd learn eventually, considering he'd pick up on it quickly.
His head swiveled towards the sound of footsteps before the girl entered, and a smile placed upon his face as he saw Kari enter, apologizing that she hadn't helped with dinner. Rayne handled the answer to that question rather well, so he decided that he wouldn't waste his words upon saying the same thing to the other girl. His attention was brought to her once again when she asked if there was anything she could do to help, and Christian didn't have to think too much of the question. The table was set, the food was ready, all they had to do now was tell the members that they were ready to have the entire group within the Kitchen and Dining Room.
"I think we covered everything for tonight, but like Rayne said, there's always tomorrow night, and many more days to come," He made the remark as a light-hearted and rather happy toned sentence. He knew that these members weren't going to be thrown from the pack, especially with how much they were willing to help someone they barely knew. Of course, that could just be them seeking a spot within the pack, but Christian would have been able to tell if there was something different, considering he could tell they were acting in earnest instead of deceiving Acacia. Because if they were doing the latter, then he'd have some harsh words and actions for them. No one would disrespect Acacia.
"But, you can go get all the members, make sure everyone's out of their rooms, and get them down here to eat," He said, smiling towards her.
Christian looked to Rayne, whom he had made smile due to his hilarious antics, and when she went back inside, he knew that she was preparing something. As he kept his eyes upon her, he knew that he'd have to thank her for her help after he was done out here. Which was relatively soon after he had that thought, as the steaks were grilled to perfection. He'd cooked them all to around medium-well, as he didn't know everyone's preferences with meat, but he made sure his was a medium-rare, bloody as always. The male enjoyed his steaks that way, and it would stay the way he enjoyed them until he could no longer chew.
"That smells great!" He said, sliding the door open wide enough so that he could bring in the large plate of steaks that he had. Smiling over towards her, he made sure that he showed his appreciation towards his new cooking companion. "It seems you have a knack for cooking," He stated as he placed the plate down, looking over towards the vegetables that he was cooking. They'd be done by now, and he quickly walked over, turning the stove off, and removing the vegetables from the hot surface. Taking the pot over to the sink, he quickly strained them, making sure to not lose any of the little green and orange pieces to the sinks nasty grip. He'd be cleaning the kitchen after they were all done, but for right now, he'd prepare each and every plate, knowing that he'd need to give specific steaks on certain plates, as his was specifically meant for him.
"Thank you for the help, I see you've set the table too, fantastic!" He said, bringing the vegetables over to where he dumped a bit on each plate, distributing the amount evenly. Any left overs were put back to simmer upon the stove, to keep warm jut in case anyone would want some after they were all finished eating. Then, bringing the steaks over to the table, he used the tongs to place them upon the plates accurately, and making it look nicely upon the platters that they'd be eating off of. Turning around once more, he felt like he was just getting a work out, trying to get everything set nice and neatly. Of course, dinners wouldn't always be like this, but it'd be a nice introductory dinner for all of them. Placing the bowl of gravy, and the plate of rings upon the table, he made sure they were sitting side by side in the middle, so that if others chose too, they could have those as well.
"Alright! That should be it! How does it look?" he asked, turning towards Rayne with a smile.
Christian had been peacefully grilling steaks, nothing but the small quiet sounds of the outside world making their way into his ears until a soft, gentle voice brought itself from behind him. Jokingly spinning around and acting as if he was surprised, he waved the tongs he was holding towards her, a smile on his face. "You scared me!" He said, a mock tone within his voice as he looked towards Rayne, the girl standing behind him. "Well, I'm currently brainstorming something else that'd go with dinner," He started, looking towards the steak before turning them over.
"And I just can't seem to find the third little part that would go perfectly with steak and vegetables, maybe you could help me?" He asked, looking towards her with puppy dog eyes that could kill. Although she had offered him help, he knew that he'd need to be kind to her, and it was just in his nature to do so, considering the flirtatious being he already was. Awaiting the female's reply to his question, he hoped that she would have a similar solution that would compliment the other two dishes he was making nicely, or if she would have some input on what he should at least try and add to give a little more flavor to one of the already cooking dishes.
Christian brought himself into the Kitchen, checking and observing that nothing was out of place. Everything was where he had left it this morning, when he had made coffee for himself and Acacia. Although he didn't need to worry about someone robbing them of their kitchen utensils, the male would always be weary entering anywhere. Striding over towards the fridge, he opened the stainless gray door, pulling out some steaks that would due for a nice meal for the entire pack. They were venison, not beef like normal people would have. Simply because he had gone hunting. With his larger than average wolf size, he could take down deer by himself.
He hadn't gone hunting too long ago, so there was only enough for the large group there, but that would serve to be enough for that moment. He'd make some tasty side dishes as well while he waited for the main meal to cook. He'd grill them outside of course, considering he had access pretty easily to the grill that lay in the backyard. Unwrapping the steaks, he placed them upon a plate, something he'd wash later before letting any of the other use it. As much as he enjoyed the taste of raw meat sometimes, some terrible diseases could be contracted from the meats blood that would lie upon the plate until soap and water would wash it down the sinks drain.
Pushing the steaks to the side, he went back to the fridge, looking around for something that would work for a side dish. Vegetables were always a good option for steaks, and his fingers found themselves gliding over the drawer that held an assortment of them. Pulling it open, he eyed his options, and pulled out a bag of broccoli, another of green beans, and then fresh carrots accompanied them as well. Shutting the drawer, he shuffled about, getting out the cutting board and knife before he started skinning and chopping the carrots, hands gliding smoothly and effortlessly through the motion.
Smiling, he hummed to himself as he pulled out a pot to boil the vegetables within, place the carrots in there, he pulled the huge heads of broccoli onto the cutting board, taking his knife to cut them into much smaller, and better sized pieces that would be nothing more than a bite or two. Next were the green beans, although he didn't have to really do much, he found it better to cut off the ends, it made them a smaller length, and made it easier for others to eat.
Once he was done there, he brought the pot under hot water, letting it run until it reached a little ways away from the top, which he then shut off the water and placed the hot pot on the stove, setting the degree to a medium heat, not too hot, and would let the vegetables boil for a long time while he prepared the steaks and cooked them. Grabbing them, he started seasoning them with different herbs, finding himself staying within the same parameters he would usually have instead of venturing into different ones. He knew that the others might not like being given new food concoctions, and he would stick to something he knew for now. After having seasoned the steaks, he took the plate out to the grill, where he placed them, pulling the heat up to a rather hot temperature so that he could cook them relatively fast. It would be a good thirty minute wait before dinner would completely be done.
Christian looked towards Acacia as she entered, her voice being rather taunting towards the fact that he had mentioned his room to the others. "Oh, inviting them there will be for later tonight don't worry," He said, winking towards the Alpha, not taking her words to heart. He smiled towards her once again as she brought up the fact that she wished to have a drink, and he prepared one quickly, making everything just the way he had for the previous drink that Lyula would be drinking from at that moment. Making his way over towards Acacia, he presented the alcohol to her with a nonchalant appearance to it, although he did show her respect, they were both knowing of where they stood. He wouldn't be as lax as he was with her around the others, but he would surely offer them at least a small amount of leeway when talking with him.
He didn't want everything to be uptight, which he knew would only be so if they had to follow strictly by the rules. Breaking a few wouldn't hurt. Head not bothering to look towards the new male that entered, he was talking to Acacia, but didn't seem a threat to Christian. His attitude was much less flirtatious than the other males; which Christian could live with. So long as he kept himself knowing where he was, then him and Christian would be rather well fitting in the same living environment. He didn't forget to address Acacia's words either, how the girl, the young Lycan that had said she would like to eat hers raw, was going to be eating like the rest of the pack. He offered a smile towards Acacia, he held no feelings for the girl after all. If Acacia wished it, he wasn't going to speak up against her.
After making himself another drink, one that he would have to himself, he took a glance towards his Alpha and the newcomers within his home, making sure that everyone was busy, or off finding themselves a room, before he headed into the kitchen, making sure to keep himself relaxed, although dominant as he walked away. Couldn't have him setting a bad example after all.
Christian looked towards all the females that were there with him, they all seemed to be wanting some, which delighted him. His attention caught on Rayne, the girl whom had spoken first about drinking. It seemed rather hilarious, he himself was mostly older than everyone there from what they answered with, and it seemed the young Lycan Willow was much younger than she appeared to be. His attention was brought to Lyula, and looked to her as she leaned against the counter, seeing as she was acting just as flirty as he was, or that's how he perceived it. His smile widened as he set down his drink, pushing it over towards the female to try. "I don't want to give a lady too much if this will be her first time drinking, we'll save the hard liquor for after dinner," He chuckled, his bold statement true to its core. Drinking too much before dinner, although providing the male with a couple of drunk women that might be all over him, was a little unsettling for a nice dinner setting. He'd like to sit down and have casual conversation first after all, and Acacia would tease him if she were to see the swarm of girls around him now, and how much the male was enjoying it. "That'd be a Clementine Margarita m'lady, just enough tang to cover the taste of alcohol," He said, smiling towards her as he pulled his attention back to the two girls that were wanting to assist him with cooking.
"I'd love for you ladies to help me, although I do think you should spend some time getting comfortable and finding your way around the house, you'll need to establish sleeping quarters as well," Although he wanted to flirt, the painful need for something other than that to be established saddened him. He was the Beta of the pack, so he needed to show that he indeed meant business and was a dominant figure, even when surrounded by such beautiful creatures. "The rooms are down the hallway, and if you're curious enough, my bedroom is in the loft," He said, smiling towards them, but also providing a serious tone to his words. He didn't want them stealing his bedroom after all. After giving directions to around the house, he listened to what Willow had stated, saying how she preferred her meat raw, giving her a small smile, he decided that he'd not flirt with her, she was a mere child after all in the Lycan world, and wasn't eighteen just yet. That and the male didn't find himself looking at her the same way he did the others. He guessed that with such a huge age difference, he'd find himself providing a more brotherly appearance to her in the future. "I'll keep that in mind," he said, giving her a smile as he awaited answers from the others that had appeared, while he leaned against the bar, waiting for Acacia to appear so that he'd have some sort of grounds to ask her what she wanted for dinner.
Christian's muscularly-lean figure moved into the house with ease, having heard what the new she-Lycan had said about her following him. "Oh, I wouldn't let someone as beautiful as you venture off on your own, this house can be very scary after all," He said, looking to her as he glided his hand through his hair once more, a confident smile upon his lips. He noticed that all the others had followed him in as well, including the male that had been within the front. He hoped that Acacia would bring herself into the lounge too, since it would only be a custom for him to ask her first what she would like for dinner. He'd get to know all the other wolves there too, but she was the Alpha, and he wished to cater to her, as it had been a plan for her and him to have been alone tonight. Walking over towards the small bar that he had built himself, he pulled out a small glass, starting to mix alcohols together. He was aiming for something a little tangy this time, bringing forth the needed liquids and materials to make himself a small Clementine Margarita, something he'd enjoy. He could drink straight liquor, but he chose to have something a little more on the fruity side today. After all, getting drunk was for later, after dinner and such was done.
"Do any of you drink?" He asked, looking around the room at the people that would have gathered by now, watching him create such a splendid little drink. He'd give it to someone else and make himself another if he had too, since he was a gentleman after all, and ladies that wanted their drinks, well he just couldn't deny them from it. He hoped that one of them within the small crowd would be a drinker, and would possibly play at some drinking games with him later. "Also, I was getting ready to make Acacia and I dinner for this evening, are any of you partial to a specific diet?" He asked, looking around the room as he took a drink once more from the liquor within his hand, the tangy aftertaste of alcohol clinging to his taste buds as he awaited an answer from any one of them.
Christian listened, eyes keen upon Acacia's figure as she spoke. He had expected her words to go from harsh to a much friendlier tone once she got over the idea of wanting to tease the Lycans before her. The brunette brought his hand up to brush through his hair, pulling it towards its natural part as he awaited for his instructions. Acacia had mentioned him of course, giving him a rather well introductory sentence, which was good enough for him. He would focus more on himself once he had dinner prepared, since he would now be cooking for a large amount of people instead of for himself and Acacia. Thinking about what exactly he could cook that would suit some of their likes, which he would get a small taste of once they were inside the home. His gaze however, caught on the girl that jumped down from the trees, and the male that approached just before her. 'Oh great, way to spoil the fun,' he sarcastically gave the remark to himself, knowing that Acacia wouldn't like him greeting new members as such.
But his gaze lingered on the girl, blue eyes curious by her, wanting to know why she had hidden herself. It hadn't gone unnoticed by the Alphess or himself, but he wondered why she had made the attempt of trying to hide herself instead of actually approaching the two like the others had. Christian held his dominance however, looking down towards the male that was now present. He wouldn't give this male any inch against Christian. It was a small little thing with him, but this male did walk in on his territory. Although he had no issues with females, males almost always had a pure dominant nature to them, in either species really. They always needed to prove that they were better than the other male there. Which he intended to show later on, once he was more accustomed to the other newcomers as well. He knew that Acacia would see his shift in attitude towards the male, but he beckoned for all the already invited wolves to follow him into the house, giving them all a charming smile before following into the house, hoping to get to talk to them, while still keeping an ear on the new male.
Christian had kept his eyes upon the female, trained upon her like she was a deer, and he was a wolf looking to make the kill. He didn't want to kill her no, simply just maybe take a small nimble of her. But that would simply be something that he would do at a later time, as right now, more wolves were showing up by the minute. He could smell them from a mile away, not literally, but he was good enough with his nose that he knew they were approaching the territory. Acacia's outward appearance towards the wolves was amusing, she was trying to act like she was a stern Alpha, when Christian knew that she indeed wasn't. Chuckling at her response towards all the new wolves, although more appearing after she had made her statement towards the now named female, Kari, he looked towards the others.
They all caught his eye, although he would say that any female could. They sparked his interest within them, but only to a certain extent. None of them seemed to be something he would want to settle down with, not yet anyways. He'd of course just met them and all, but having so many female's around was a great time waiting to happen. He was the only male within the pack at the time, so he could have as much fun as he would think he could, so long as he kept respectful. He knew that some female's weren't that accepting of more than friendly gestures, but he'd been slapped enough times that it didn't effect him at all. He'd simply just move on and away from the gestures, especially if they weren't willing to participate. But, he kept his mouth shut, just simply observing as he pulled his body into a more dominant position, telling the other wolves that he was of some importance to the pack.
