Christian brought himself into the Kitchen, checking and observing that nothing was out of place. Everything was where he had left it this morning, when he had made coffee for himself and Acacia. Although he didn't need to worry about someone robbing them of their kitchen utensils, the male would always be weary entering anywhere. Striding over towards the fridge, he opened the stainless gray door, pulling out some steaks that would due for a nice meal for the entire pack. They were venison, not beef like normal people would have. Simply because he had gone hunting. With his larger than average wolf size, he could take down deer by himself.
He hadn't gone hunting too long ago, so there was only enough for the large group there, but that would serve to be enough for that moment. He'd make some tasty side dishes as well while he waited for the main meal to cook. He'd grill them outside of course, considering he had access pretty easily to the grill that lay in the backyard. Unwrapping the steaks, he placed them upon a plate, something he'd wash later before letting any of the other use it. As much as he enjoyed the taste of raw meat sometimes, some terrible diseases could be contracted from the meats blood that would lie upon the plate until soap and water would wash it down the sinks drain.
Pushing the steaks to the side, he went back to the fridge, looking around for something that would work for a side dish. Vegetables were always a good option for steaks, and his fingers found themselves gliding over the drawer that held an assortment of them. Pulling it open, he eyed his options, and pulled out a bag of broccoli, another of green beans, and then fresh carrots accompanied them as well. Shutting the drawer, he shuffled about, getting out the cutting board and knife before he started skinning and chopping the carrots, hands gliding smoothly and effortlessly through the motion.
Smiling, he hummed to himself as he pulled out a pot to boil the vegetables within, place the carrots in there, he pulled the huge heads of broccoli onto the cutting board, taking his knife to cut them into much smaller, and better sized pieces that would be nothing more than a bite or two. Next were the green beans, although he didn't have to really do much, he found it better to cut off the ends, it made them a smaller length, and made it easier for others to eat.
Once he was done there, he brought the pot under hot water, letting it run until it reached a little ways away from the top, which he then shut off the water and placed the hot pot on the stove, setting the degree to a medium heat, not too hot, and would let the vegetables boil for a long time while he prepared the steaks and cooked them. Grabbing them, he started seasoning them with different herbs, finding himself staying within the same parameters he would usually have instead of venturing into different ones. He knew that the others might not like being given new food concoctions, and he would stick to something he knew for now. After having seasoned the steaks, he took the plate out to the grill, where he placed them, pulling the heat up to a rather hot temperature so that he could cook them relatively fast. It would be a good thirty minute wait before dinner would completely be done.
Rayne practically glided into the beautiful kitchen, the potent smell of meat guiding her into the warm room. She raked her vision across every surface of the modern yet rustic style, coming to settle on a pot that had been placed on the stove. With quiet feet she moved across the room, stopping in front of the boiling vegetables. Standing on her tip toes, she looked over into the pot, eyeing the broccoli, carrot and beans with a hungry glare. Rayne sank back onto the flats of her feet, stepping away from the stove and looking around the kitchen again. A few different herbs were scattered along the work bench, and she had already worked out that Christian was outside grilling steaks, Rayne almost immediately thought of oregano and parsley to give the meat a clean yet earthy tang.
She looked over to the door that lead to an outside area, which was where the light sizzling sound was coming from. With cautious steps, she slowly strode over, as casually and friendly as possible leaned against the doorway. Sure enough, she found the Beta working the steaks on the grill, the smell enticing and aromatic. It looked as if he had everything under control, and Rayne almost felt bad for not arriving sooner to be able to pitch in with dinner. "Am I too late to help with anything?" She crooned in a soft voice, her hand mindlessly raising up to curl around the four pointed star encasing her beloved moonstone, twisting the cold metal through her fingers as a way to occupy her mind. "It smells divine, by the way." She mumbled, inhaling another breath of the succulent meat. Hopefully Christian would have something for her to do, as she couldn't stand sitting back and watching others do all the work, it drove her half mental. Besides, she didn't want to have wandered all the way to the kitchen just to interrupt the cooking of the Beta.
Christian had been peacefully grilling steaks, nothing but the small quiet sounds of the outside world making their way into his ears until a soft, gentle voice brought itself from behind him. Jokingly spinning around and acting as if he was surprised, he waved the tongs he was holding towards her, a smile on his face. "You scared me!" He said, a mock tone within his voice as he looked towards Rayne, the girl standing behind him. "Well, I'm currently brainstorming something else that'd go with dinner," He started, looking towards the steak before turning them over.
"And I just can't seem to find the third little part that would go perfectly with steak and vegetables, maybe you could help me?" He asked, looking towards her with puppy dog eyes that could kill. Although she had offered him help, he knew that he'd need to be kind to her, and it was just in his nature to do so, considering the flirtatious being he already was. Awaiting the female's reply to his question, he hoped that she would have a similar solution that would compliment the other two dishes he was making nicely, or if she would have some input on what he should at least try and add to give a little more flavor to one of the already cooking dishes.
"You scared me!" Christian said, waving the tongs in her direction. His mock surprise earned a small, light hearted laugh from Rayne, dropping her hand away from the necklace as she was now entertained by the dramatics of the Beta, and crossing her arms as she waited to hear if he had anything that she could do. "Well, I'm currently brainstorming something else that'd go with dinner," His words caught her attention, it sounded as if he did indeed have a task for her… "And I just can't seem to find the third little part that would go perfectly with steak and vegetables, maybe you could help me?" Rayne simply gave him a smile and a small nod, that would clearly be the answer 'yes' to his question before she strolled back inside to see what was in the fridge and pantry that she could work with.
Rayne first swung open the cool metal doors off the fridge, her eyes quickly scouring every shelf until she spotted onions and the common mushroom. An idea hit her almost immediately. She swiped up the two ingredients and placed them on the workbench, then quickly scouring the kitchen for everything else she would need to make what she had in mind.
She swiftly placed another small pot on the stove and poured a generous amount of oil in, then switching the heat on as she turned around to attend to the large onions she had grabbed from the fridge. Using a new found knife, she used her gentle and precise hands to quickly slice the onions into average sized peices, setting the onions aside, she grabbed the bowl she had gathered earlier and stirred together flower, baking powder and salt.
Dipping the onion slices into the flour mixture until they were all coated, she once again set them aside. Rayne then whisked together the egg and milk into the flour mixture and dipped the floured rings into the batter as a coat, she then spread bread crumbs evenly over the onions until each one was simply perfect. Then, Rayne dropped all the onion peices into the hot oil and let them fry until the onion rings were done.
'Now for the mushroom,' She thought to herself as she spun around and began work on the mushroom components. Once again Rayne began to heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Adding mushrooms and garlic and then stirring until the now deliciously smelling mushrooms were lightly browned. Adding flour and stirring again, she would peer out of the door to see if Christian was anywhere near done with the steaks, as she was very nearly done with her part of the cooking. Rayne returned her attention to the food in front of her as she slowly added stock, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. She then began stirring, once again, until the sauce boiled and thickened, and then seasoned with salt and pepper.
Finally finished the mushroom gravy and the onion rings, she placed the rings on a small plate and poured the gravy into a bowl so that both would be easy to serve up on the plates that she began placing along the bench. As soon as the last dish was placed and there was a perfect number for everyone in the house, Rayne let out a held in sigh as she leaned against the bench, a small smile dusting her lips as she remembered that this was the first time she'd cooked like this in a long time. It was comforting to her that she still had an obvious knack for the art of cooking.
Christian looked to Rayne, whom he had made smile due to his hilarious antics, and when she went back inside, he knew that she was preparing something. As he kept his eyes upon her, he knew that he'd have to thank her for her help after he was done out here. Which was relatively soon after he had that thought, as the steaks were grilled to perfection. He'd cooked them all to around medium-well, as he didn't know everyone's preferences with meat, but he made sure his was a medium-rare, bloody as always. The male enjoyed his steaks that way, and it would stay the way he enjoyed them until he could no longer chew.
"That smells great!" He said, sliding the door open wide enough so that he could bring in the large plate of steaks that he had. Smiling over towards her, he made sure that he showed his appreciation towards his new cooking companion. "It seems you have a knack for cooking," He stated as he placed the plate down, looking over towards the vegetables that he was cooking. They'd be done by now, and he quickly walked over, turning the stove off, and removing the vegetables from the hot surface. Taking the pot over to the sink, he quickly strained them, making sure to not lose any of the little green and orange pieces to the sinks nasty grip. He'd be cleaning the kitchen after they were all done, but for right now, he'd prepare each and every plate, knowing that he'd need to give specific steaks on certain plates, as his was specifically meant for him.
"Thank you for the help, I see you've set the table too, fantastic!" He said, bringing the vegetables over to where he dumped a bit on each plate, distributing the amount evenly. Any left overs were put back to simmer upon the stove, to keep warm jut in case anyone would want some after they were all finished eating. Then, bringing the steaks over to the table, he used the tongs to place them upon the plates accurately, and making it look nicely upon the platters that they'd be eating off of. Turning around once more, he felt like he was just getting a work out, trying to get everything set nice and neatly. Of course, dinners wouldn't always be like this, but it'd be a nice introductory dinner for all of them. Placing the bowl of gravy, and the plate of rings upon the table, he made sure they were sitting side by side in the middle, so that if others chose too, they could have those as well.
"Alright! That should be it! How does it look?" he asked, turning towards Rayne with a smile.
Kari Varnan
The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you're not worth the truth.
Kari hesitantly entered the kitchen, first laying eyes on Rayne. She soon noticed Beta Christian as well, and she nodded to him politely as she had to Rayne before entering the kitchen. She nervously tucked a strand of long, dirty blond hair behind her ear and fiddled absentmindedly with the chain of her necklace as she looked around. A careful observation of the room brought her chocolate-hued eyes to find the table already laden with plates, each with delicious looking steaks and vegetables already carefully distributed onto them. Kari felt slightly disappointed; cooking had always helped her relax, and might allow her to feel a bit more at home in this place, but she had also hoped that working together with some of the other lycanthropes within the pack to prepare dinner might be a chance for her to become better acquainted with them. It was not only that, however, that made her feel uncomfortable in the situation. It was also the fact that she had offered her assistance in the task and then not followed through. It was likely that she would now be seen as rude or irresponsible, and that was the last thing she wanted so early on in her time with this pack: a bad impression.
"My apologies, Beta Christian, Rayne. I meant to help you with the cooking process, but it appears that I am to late." A light blush of pink dusted her cheeks, the rosy hue conveying her embarrassment of the situation at hand. She smiled sheepishly, quite obviously flustered by her mistake. She hoped that this would not make them think her to be flighty or rude, having not come to help as promised. Actually, quite the opposite was true of her; she was quite responsible, she almost never let a job or duty slip her mind, and she would never purposely leave another to do work meant for herself, she was most certainly not lazy so as to take advantage of another. However, one simple mistake could change a person's entire view, and leave their mindset of you biased through one event. Kari deeply hoped that these lycanthropes did not possess that sort of character, but at any rate, she hoped to fix her mistake. "Is there anything left to be done that I could do to help?" the young female asked kindly.
Rayne looked up from the plates in front of her as she heard the door opening, Christian walking in with the plate of steaks. "That smells great!" He said as he sent her a friendly smile, which she returned while replying. "The steaks look amazing, you did a good job on them." She eyed the slabs of meat, noticing that they were all medium-well done, except for one which she assumed was either for himself or the Alphess. Rayne didn't particularly care if her meat was straight off a carcass or slow roasted to perfection, it was all the same and she could only be thankful that she had access to such great food.
"It seems you have a knack for cooking," He stated, Rayne giving him a proud nod in response. According to her mother (who couldn't cook to save her life), she had gotten this specific talent from her father who was absolutely brilliant at the skill, which made cooking and his language very special to her. "I have been known to be quite the chef." A light chuckle weaved through her voice as she watched Christian strain the vegetables. "Thank you for the help, I see you've set the table too, fantastic!" He seemed to be quite happy with her contribution towards dinner, and Rayne gave him a proud smile in response. She watched as the Beta dished up the veggies, steaks and placed the onions rings and gravy in the center of the table so that the pack members could help themselves.
"Alright! That's should be it! How does it look?" He asked turning to her with a smile. Rayne stepped forward, standing next to Christian. "Sembra perfetto." Her Italian thick and beautiful, she turned to the Beta and gave him a grin. "Looks perfect." She translated.
Rayne soon noticed the presence of another female, Kari, if her memory and sharp hearing were still on point, and she gave the girl a smile as well, remembering her smart reply to one of Rayne's previous jokes. "My apologies, Beta Christian, Rayne. I meant to help you with the cooking process, but it appears that I am to late." The younger girl did seem truly sorry, and perhaps a bit disappointed that she didn't get to bond with her new pack mates through something that was so much fun: cooking. Rayne felt that she had become somewhat closer to Christian through her good impression, so Rayne felt somewhat guilty that Kari didn't get the opportunity as well. "There's no need to apologise, I can assume you were already socialising with the other members, and there's always tomorrow night." Her tone seemed a bit more formal with her 'address', although she meant for it to sound light heart and friendly. "Is there anything left to be done that I could do to help?" She asked, and Rayne decided that Christian could answer this one, since he was of dominant position and more inclined to give tasks.
Christian looked towards the girl that he had asked a question too, listening to her answer within Italian, something he could easily make out. He had dealt with foreign languages, considering his business trade back when he was with his sister, he just never thought to pick up the languages that others spoke. Obviously he'd need to work on at least a couple languages, considering Russian was already native to Acacia, and the new male she had been speaking with, and Italian was something that he knew Rayne could speak, even if it was small words and not a full sentence. He'd learn eventually, considering he'd pick up on it quickly.
His head swiveled towards the sound of footsteps before the girl entered, and a smile placed upon his face as he saw Kari enter, apologizing that she hadn't helped with dinner. Rayne handled the answer to that question rather well, so he decided that he wouldn't waste his words upon saying the same thing to the other girl. His attention was brought to her once again when she asked if there was anything she could do to help, and Christian didn't have to think too much of the question. The table was set, the food was ready, all they had to do now was tell the members that they were ready to have the entire group within the Kitchen and Dining Room.
"I think we covered everything for tonight, but like Rayne said, there's always tomorrow night, and many more days to come," He made the remark as a light-hearted and rather happy toned sentence. He knew that these members weren't going to be thrown from the pack, especially with how much they were willing to help someone they barely knew. Of course, that could just be them seeking a spot within the pack, but Christian would have been able to tell if there was something different, considering he could tell they were acting in earnest instead of deceiving Acacia. Because if they were doing the latter, then he'd have some harsh words and actions for them. No one would disrespect Acacia.
"But, you can go get all the members, make sure everyone's out of their rooms, and get them down here to eat," He said, smiling towards her.
Alphess Acacia
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack - Rudyard Kipling
Strolled with seemingly passive composure to the wooden topped marble design of households kitchen. Arms lankly hanging down though her hands were pulled behind her back where slender digits intertwined between one another in simple manner. Light, lime tinted optics bounding over the form of her Beta male, as he seemingly finished giving instructions to Rayne and Kari whom were both currently presented in the same room. Smile toying with her lips as she continued to move through the room, curious eyes finding the freshly set table layered by steaming and oh so delightfully smelling foods.
"Вкусно пахнет," the heavy accentuation of Russian ancestry easily heard as the woman let her eye-lids fall and nostrils flare with large intake of aromatic air. "It would seem we are eating well tonight," she spoke in a cheery manner, almost sounding like she'd sing if she had the chance. Spinning on her heels she would flicker her focus between the three before her, "Rayne, Kari, please do go find everyone and let them know they're expected here for dinner." Acacia had assumed that Christian already made it known the others in the house would need to be alerted, but she herself cleared the table and made it more apparent; more of an Order to be followed.
If the two women eventually sauntered off to locate the large number of extra's she would shift lightly on her unshod feet, "I do hope there is enough for two extras," she quickly started off, "We've had another duo join us. And one of them claims they are a previous Delta whom has been 'relocated' from their old pack." The particular word was emphasized as she alerted her second best of what they'd be looking to expect from this individual lycan. After all, there would be high chance she expected to gain this role again. But, Acacia would be the judge and jury on that.
She wouldn't linger upon the particular topic for very long, expecting the new-comers to start flooding in one by one from various directions. This would definitely be a topic to discuss in a more private setting, to ensure they both were on the same page and could keep close eye on the female, Phoenix. Another day would have to do.
"There's no need to apologize, I can assume you were already socializing with the other members, and there's always tomorrow night." Rayne's voice drifted through the air, her tone seeming quite formal. Kari smiled the other girl gratefully. It was true that she had been becoming acquainted with the others at the time which she had meant to be helping. One of the very reasons which she had wished to help was to become formally introduced to whoever else had chosen to help prepare dinner. But Rayne was correct. There would always be other nights during which she could help. She felt some of the stress leave her as she relaxed. Rayne, at least, did not seem angry with her.
Next came the light-hearted reply of Beta Christian. "I think we covered everything for tonight, but like Rayne said, there's always tomorrow night, and many more days to come." Kari smiled once more, now even further relieved by the fact that the Beta did not seem at all upset or frustrated that she had not kept her promise to help. "But," Christian continued, "you can go get all the members, make sure everyone's out of their rooms, and get them down here to eat." Kari returned the friendly smile which the male gave her and nodded her head comprehensively. "Alright," she said. "Thank you."
The young female lycan turned to leave, she noticed that the alphess, Acacia, had entered the kitchen. "Вкусно пахнет," came the heavily-accented statement from the older woman upon her entrance. Kari felt somewhat embarrassed that she had no idea what the alphess had said, but she brushed it off. "Hello, Alphess Acacia," Kari said in a friendly, light-hearted manner with a polite smile held upon her lips. She listened as the pack leader spoke once more. "It would seem we are eating well tonight," Acacia said cheerfully before turning to the other two females present in the room. "Rayne, Kari, please do go find everyone and let them know they're expected here for dinner." Kari nodded. "Yes ma'am," she said, wondering if she needed to be so formal. "I was just on my way to go do so."
As Kari turned to leave once more, the last bits of the conversation between Acacia and Christian reached her keen ears. "We've had another duo join us. And one of them claims they are a previous Delta whom has been 'relocated' from their old pack."At the alphess's words addressing the fact that a former delta had come to join them, Kari felt her heart sink. She had hoped to gain a high position in the pack, perhaps delta had it been possible, but now she felt as though she were watching her chances rush down the drain and out of sight, never to be held again. Her goals of a high position were not out of selfishness or an unquenchable desire for personal gain; no, they were simply driven by an emptiness within her and a fierce desire to prove herself. A voice inside her mind told her that, if she were able to gain a similar position to her former one in Carter's pack, perhaps things would go back to normal. Perhaps, with familiar duties to attend to, she would not be left feeling so empty and alone. This belief made up a quite large amount of her desire's driving factors, accompanied by her thirst to prove that she was not second best. Having aways been inferior to her brother, she had grown fearful of spending her life in the shadow of another once more. This was not to say that Kari did not wish to follow orders; she would obey whatever command was given to her with all of the loyalty and respect expected from each pack member and more. However, considering that she was not yet familiar with these wolves, she feared that whatever superior she was placed under may ridicule her just as her brother had. She did not want to feel helpless and inferior again at the hands of cruel words from the higher ranking lycanthropes. She wanted to prove that she was strong enough to help lead the pack as she had done before. Her goal felt useless now, though. The alphess and beta were aware that this newcomer was capable of being a high-ranking pack member, and they had never been given the information of Kari's former position as beta. She had thought that it would make her look selfish and desperate, so she had said nothing. Now, that seemed to be a mistake. She would lose her chance to another. Despair and disappointment were etched upon her face, but she disguised them as well as she could. It was useless to become distraught because of matters over which she had not control. She sighed unnoticeably and shook her head to clear her mind, stepping out of the kitchen and setting off to find the other lycans to send them to the kitchen for dinner.
Christian looked towards Kari as she stated that she'd be leaving towards Acacia. Something seemed a little off by the way that Acacia stood, but as soon as the other two were seemingly gone, the Alphess spoke to him about another two joining them. He let out a small huff, knowing for a fact that he'd not made enough meat at least, to accommodate the two new wolves. "I only had enough for the many that were already here," He sighed out, but the other matter at hand caught his attention. "I've never heard or re-location of a wolf, nor have I heard of another place where the Council is keeping the battlefield, I don't trust her," Christian simply stated. Although she hadn't met the other girl quite yet, he knew that she would most certainly be lying. Since when would the Council have another pack? They'd have sent all of the wolves here to that one if so, it would be too much to manage two battlefields at once, and he'd have understood in there was more than enough wolves here, but it seemed that if she claimed to be Delta that this pack was substantially larger than that one.
"I would believe that she's come from a pack, but not one that was made by the Council," He said, and then started looking through the fridge that was there. There was nothing he could make that'd be able to be done a little while before everyone got there, so he'd decided that he would simply go without. "One of them can have my plate, I have nothing that I could really make, unless I went hunting, but dinner has been dragged on long enough," He said, subtly asking for Acacia's opinion upon the matter, on what he should do to make up for the lack of food that they currently had. | Mentioned: Kari Varnan @rayne | | Addressed: Alphess Acacia |
After her and Christian's words of comfort, Rayne watched as the slight guilt on the girl's face turned to relief. And just as she was about to offer help with rounding up the rest of the pack members, her blue grey eyes caught on the figure of her Alphess. Rayne gave a nod and a smile as Acacia floated through the room. "Вкусно пахнет," The woman's thick Russian beautifully strung together, but sounding like gibberish, as Rayne had no clue how to speak the language. She smiled anyway as the Alphess did, it was the polite thing to do, anyways. "It would seem we are eating well tonight," Acacia's bubbly voice seemed absolutely thrilled. So Rayne nodded once again and replied,"Indeed, with Christian's amazing grilling skills these steaks look absolutely perfect." Her own voice matching her superior's tone with a light-hearted chuckle to finish it off. "Rayne, Kari, please do go find everyone and let them know they're expected here for dinner." The Alphess spoke once more, and this time, Rayne stayed quiet, only giving Acacia a broad smile yet another nod as she spun on her heels and exited the kitchen. She didn't like the amount of nodding she was doing...but she put it behind her as she came to stop at a bedroom door.

Phoenix Riley
Someone once said, 'Where there's a will there's a way.' If I'm not dead yet, there's always a way.
Phoenix followed the Alphess inside, however, rather than following her, she went to find a room. She climbed a couple flights of stairs before reaching a room that didn't have a current scent in it. Without looking, she threw her bag into the room, soon followed by her jacket. She tucked her phone into her pocket. She darted into the adjoining bathroom and underwent a through examination of herself. She removed her beanie, since it wasn't cold in the house, and smoothed her hair with her fingers. She stares at her reflection, regarding her face with cold calculation. "They're never going to believe you. Even if they contact Sienna and the council. I bet a couple of them think they're the only pack." She sighs out. She has had enough stress, she didn't need more. 'Don't ask or expect the position. Council or no, you need to prove yourself. This is a new pack.' She didn't mind having to reprove herself, but she was fed up with the Council.
She trudges down the multiple flights of stairs until she reaches the bottom floor. She follows her nose to the kitchen, she is just in time to hear the male say, "One of them can have my plate, I have nothing that I could really make, unless I went hunting, but dinner has been dragged on long enough," Never mind the last part, she knew there wouldn't be enough. She clears her throat as to not seem as if she were eavesdropping. Looking down so she didn't seem dominant, she spoke. "Excuse moi, demoiselle. I couldn't help but over hear that there isn't enough. I am not hungry, I'd be happy to sit at the table and participate in the conversation, but I don't have to eat. I don't want to make anyone give up their food. Could I trouble you for a glass of water?" To this, she looks up at the Alphess, but not in her eyes, that would probably piss her off. While looking up, she noticed that something was off about the male. She just couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"I was just on my way to go do so," the blond woman, Kari, spoke up a final time as she and Rayne soon sauntered from the rooms span. After her mention of the new members arrival she would focus on Christian's reaction, "I only had enough for the many that were already here," she would nod, her eyes lingering over the set table as she continued to listen, "I've never heard of re-location of a wolf, nor have I heard of another place where the council is keeping the battlefied, I don't trust her."
"You're not the only one, Christian," she would offer in hushed response, aiming to keep this between themselves as she kept close ear for others whom would be making their entrance. "I would believe that if she's come from a pack, but not one that was made by the Council," Christian once more spoke before rummaging through the kitchen, "Yes, we'll keep a close eye. Evaluate her for ourselves, I just worry of what she may of done to result in this 'relocation'." Acacia spoke firmly, yet still whispered, watching Christian as she lingered close to the kitchen. "One of them can have my plate, I have nothing that I could really make, unless I went hunting, but dinner has been dragged on long enough," his words were set in place, yet still she felt a hint of questioning, what else where they to do with the last meal missing.
"Excuse moi, demoiselle. I couldn't help but over hear that there isn't enough. I am not hungry, I'd be happy to sit at the table and participate in the conversation, but I don't have to eat. I don't want to make anyone give up their food," the voice of the female, Phoenix, from out-front, brought Acacia to pivot on her heels, staring towards the other with little notation of her mood to be present bar that reappearing smile. "Could I trouble you for a glass of water?" The woman spoke once more, her eyes avoiding Acacia's as she waited quietly for a response. "Feel free to have a drink," she'd offer, one arm extending invitation into the more open kitchen whilst her vision drifted to her Beta, "Christian, this is Phoenix, one of the new arrivals. And Phoenix, this is my Beta, Christian."
Somewhat seeking to capture the males eyes for a moment with her own she'd offer him the faintest hint, one that merely resulted in increase sizing to her smile before returning to the subtle grin it previously was. This was the one she'd spoken about. This was the 'transferred' Lycan.
