Zara listened intently on what Zia was saying, nodding along, agreeing. She didn't really have a side on things between lycans and vampires. All she knew was that the two species didn't like each other. She didn't experience anything personal to make her not like them, so this conversation was interesting. Zara smiled at Zia as she wished her luck. "Thanks, I still don't know exactly how long I'll be there, but I will defiantly be coming back to visit this cafe, they have good beverages." She smiled as she took a sip of her drink, thinking back to the cute waitress.
"I used to also be in a pack, was actually in line to be beta. However, my other siblings were as well and I think you two can guess where that got me." Zara thought back to the bloody sparing match she had with her sister. Her eyes slightly narrowed at the thought of the feeling she had when her sister was officially announced the heir to the beta position. She shook off the thought and turned her attention back to the two ladies in front of her. "So you were a beta in your pack? What made you want to leave?" Zara was quite curious, as she never heard of a beta leaving a pack by their own will.
Zara leaned forward on the table, placing her arms on it, chocolate brown eyes flicking between the two in front of her. Looking at Zoelle for her reaction of Zia's outspoken words, and Zia for her answer.
"There are always exceptions, but rumors are a nasty thing. I for one hate being stereotyped as a monster who cruelty turns people into monsters and servilly follows my alpha like a house dog. I've met some whom actually fight for vampires, but they're crazy, few and dead," the darkly dressed Lycan eventually responded to Zoelle's statement of rumors she'd heard.
Her eyes lingered towards the woman curiously, intent with focus as she listened to each word and chuckled towards the end where Zia mentioned wolves whom followed vampires like pets, carrying out the dirty work. "I guess you've got to expect a few of those from many species," she commentated before returning to subdued silence as the other continued, "And I'm sure your kind, being Vampires, isn't too well thought of by my kind, not that I care in the slightest what the other Lycans think." Yet another soft chuckle escaped parted violet lips, grayed eyes meeting the she-wolves for a short moment before flickering to the brightly haired female.
"It can be guaranteed all species will find something to create conflict over. Be it something small or something worthy, blood and victory are all a species wants, even if there is by no means any necessity for the battle they create." Each word the vampire spoke was clear, she had lifted her head slightly, elegant smile painting a soft expression to her features as Zia mentioned the truth that even the vampire species confused her, some were kind, others less so. She herself had witnessed that, and while she could of caused many problems for the Lycan kind, she chose not too.
"Whatever my opinion is on packs, I do wish you luck in your.. Try outs, as you had called them," the black wolf finally finished herself off as she ran slender digits through sleek black hair. Only a short moment later, the silence was cut by the other wolf nearby, "Thanks," she began, claiming her lack of knowledge to how long she'd be in the battlefield, but offered with a smile the fact she would certainly be returning for the succulent beverages the quaint cafe had to offer. "I used to also be in a pack, was actually in line to be beta. However, my other siblings were as well, and I think you two can guess where that got me," the auburn topped female spoke lightly. Zoelle had began to focus upon her features noting the womans eyes narrowing before she flinched in the slightest, possibly shaking off some unwanted thoughts, "So, you were a beta in your pack? What made you want to leave?"
This question from the other, brought the she-vamps attention to Zia once more, the focus between the trio continually on the move as new questions popped up and conversation swirled through the air more easily than it ever had for the lithe vampire in her multitude of years living. It was so new to her, holding such conversation with what many vampires pitted as their 'natural enemy'. What was so bad about this wolves? This question would haunt her for a while, surely she would meet no others so inclined for peace as those plastered right before her eyes.
"Wonderfully said Zoelle," Zia nodded, addressing the she-vamp and her thoughts on conflict. "I don't think I could've said it as well as that,". Zia was avoiding the question from Zara. It made her think about the pack she was born in, her mother, her father. Then, Zia took a deep breath and looked towards Zara with her dull gray eyes. "It wasn't much of a choice for me to leave Beta, I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. My parents were the Alphas, I was appointed Beta after sometime in their rule. Then a younger and more powerful male and his friends came and challenged them, I couldn't win in a fight against a male much larger than me, and if you know how young males are around females," Zia gave a quick gesture to herself. "It would've been best for me to leave before I got pregnant. Really, that's all, I just got forced out," Zia shrugged. "It's not as glamorous as you think, I was younger, not as powerful, and I sure as hell didn't want to be mates to an Alpha whom I hated with the burning passion of a thousand suns," It was obvious Zia was a little annoyed by the story, not telling it, but remembering it. She realized she had balled up one of her fists, she undid it and stole a glance at where her nails had dug into her skin. Zia hoped Zara was happy with her answer, because Zia was not in the mood to say anymore. Zara Bancroft Zoelle OOC: All of our characters have names that start with "Z" and are Bisexual... Walking into Toronto from one of the many Southern roads, Ryan adjusted the straps of his backpack as they pressed into his shoulders. He really should of thought ahead when buying ammo for his Remington Model 700, though it wasn't like foresight was his forte. His thoughts on past financial mistakes soon became worse though when his stomach began to growl. Digging into his pockets, he found what little cash was left from when he had sold his truck last week. Five seventy-one. That could probably get me a sandwich somewhere. Now what looks good?
Soon the occupants inside The Little Cafe would hear the door ring as Ryan walked through, making a bee line for the register to place his order. "Uh, hi. Um, could I get the... Ham and Swiss sandwich please? Yeah, that looks good," he said before handing over the exact amount listed on the menu above. As he waited near the order pick-up counter, the amateur hunter turned to look at the other customers that were minding their own business.

Don't judge my choices without understanding my reasons.
Zara nodded at Zia's answer, not pushing her to say more as she realized that telling the story had annoyed her. "I'm sorry you had to go through that." was all she managed to say. Her experience in her old pack wasn't like that, so she couldn't think of much to reply. Zara noticed that Zoelle seemed interested in the conversation Zia and Zara were having. This she found amusing, as vampires she had met previously would usually tune out at any type of 'pack talk'. This made a small smile form on her face. Maybe this is one of the better vampires.
Right when she was about to say something, the bell of the cafe rang through the building. She looked over to see a human male with red hair. Slightly tilting her head, she turned back to the conversation between the three. "So, Zoelle, were you apart of a clan in your past?" Curiosity overcame her as the next question poured out. She was known for being curious, and her mother would sometimes tease her by calling her a cat because of it. This wasn't her favourite nickname that she had received in the past, but not the worst.
OOC: Oooooooo what would our name be? xD and Zoelle hope you don't mind be using your format of 'addressed' and such. I thought it looked really pretty
The delicately built vampire would find herself leaning further into her chair, eyes hovering between the two before her, piqued with visible interest as Zia began to speak. "I don't think I could've said it as well as that," she started off, silence sinking in for a period before she took a deep breath and began to explain her reasons behind leaving her 'Beta' status to become a rogue. "Then a younger, and more powerful male and his friends came and challenged them" she spoke with heavy words, audibly irritated by the story at hand, "And if you know how young males are around females." That was enough for Zoelle to completely understand, her reasoning was not the vampires concern, but she couldn't help but feel some form of sorrow towards what she'd been through.
"It wouldn't been best for me to leave before I got pregnant. Really, that's all, I just got forced out," with a shrug Zia seemed to settle the slightest, although she did continue, "It's not as glamorous as you think. I was younger, not as powerful, and I sure as hell didn't want to be mates to an Alpha whom I hated with the burning passion of a thousand suns." This brought the slightest chuckle to slip from violet lipped female although it was clear she meant no disrespect but she liked the wording the Lycan had chosen, "I can understand your choices, and I believe they were certainly wise. Please excuse if that was rude of me also." Soon after the vampire spoke, Zara apologized for all that the other had to go through, and before anyone could truly get any other words out a light tingle from the cafe's entrance would be heard.
Pulling her attention from those she sat with, she let grey vision dance over the recently entered human, his appeal lacking anything of interest and thus, Zoelle refocused upon Zia and Zara. "So, Zoelle, were you apart of a clan in your past?" the she-wolf spoke with pure curiosity, a gracious smile peeling upon her lips as she leaned towards the table. "I lived with my parents for the first few hundred years of my life, but by no means have I had interest in 'obeying' a leader," she spoke somewhat softer than she previously had, more alert to the humans around her now as she worked to click a few keys upon her laptop before pulling the lid down and closed. "I'm more of a solitary person," she'd offer forth in the end, leaning back in her chair as she awaited response.
Zia's eyes flickered to the human male. she watched him for a moment. She glanced from him back to the others, then back to the human, nodding as if to subtly address him to the others. They probably had noticed, but Zia wanted to point him out further. "I would appear we're a bit similar Zoelle. Loners," Zia smirked, raising an eyebrow ever so slightly. She decided to address Zara next. "You don't need to apologize for my past, I'm sort of stuck with it. As are most. Me being driven out of that pack is why I'm here today," Zia shrugged. "Okay ladies, you're thinking it, I'm thinking it, let's address the elephant, er... Human, in the room," Zia spoke in a low voice, making a small gesture with her coffee mug, which she hadn't taken a drink out of for the past few minutes, she only got coffee for the caffeine, Zia personally hated the taste. While scanning the cafe for anything interesting, Ryan couldn't help but notice the three women that continually gave small, short glances in his direction. No one else in the cafe seemed to be paying him any mind and the place was pretty sparsely decorated. Why not go spend some time talking to a group of cute girls while I wait for my sandwich? Maybe they're even interested in me? How cool would that be?! Just arrived in a new town and already have girls fawning for me. Just like one of my Japanese animes! Now what was that pick-up line Dad told me? Pulling out a notebook, the young man began to flip through the pages. Ah. Here we are. "Pick up lines for cafes." Let's see... Ooh, I'll use this one: "Hey there, how'd you like for me to add some pumpkin spice to your life?" Closing the book, he strolled confidently toward the small group.
With an innocent smile and small wave of his hand, Ryan greeted the rogues with a friendly, "Hello." Dammit Ryan, you've already messed up. It was supposed to be "hey" not "hello." You've got to think of something else now. "I couldn't help but, uh, notice you guys looking in my direction and... well... thought... um..." He started before trailing off into a whisper. "Oh God, where was I going with this?"
Zara smiled at the two females words as conversation continued. With a gesture of her coffee mug, Zia addressed the new male human in the cafe. "He does seem interesting." Zara slightly tilted her head to the side, examining the human when he wasn't noticing. Turning her brown gaze back to the females, she took another sip of her drink. Another ginger, interesting. Hearing confident footsteps coming in the groups direction, she already knew who it was before even looking at him. He opened with a greeting and continued awkwardly before losing his thought. This caused Zara to chuckle a little bit.
Flicking her chocolate eyes up at him, she spoke in a friendly tone, "Hello there sir. We were simply observing the newcomer in the cafe." She could tell by his scent that he wasn't from around here. Maybe just passing through? "Don't worry, we don't bite, take a seat." Saying this Zara knew that the others would find her statement ironic, which was intended. She tapped on a nearby chair with her foot as an invitation before taking another sip of her coffee.
"Okay ladies. You're thinking it, I'm thinking it. Let's address the elephant, er... Human, in the room," the subdued tone of Zia was quick to capture attention. Each of the women had, at one stage or another, stolen a glance at the new-comer. It was clear he'd noticed, the other scattered blood-bags couldn't of cared less about a stranger. So, he made approach on the trio's chattering group.
"Hello," confidence filled this beginning greeting, innocent smile and gentle wave of hand being offered as he seemed to shift in demeanor. "I couldn't help but, uh... notice you guys looking in my direction, and," yup, he'd slipped straight off of 'Mister Man Rock' and landed upon his ass in 'Ditzy Land' as he continued, "Well... Thought... Um..." The amused chuckle that escaped from Zara almost seemed contagious as the gentle ring of Zoelle's own giggle filtered from bright purple lips.
"Oh god, where was I going with this?" He was obviously out of his comfort zone, if he even had one with women, and, this merely amused the female further. "Hello there, Sir. We were simply observing the new-comer in the cafe," Zara offered the first greeting, "Don't worry, we don't bite, take a seat." Flashing the brightly-haired lycan a grin she almost seemed to enjoy that statement before she herself spoke up. Voice filled with a toying tone, "I don't know about them, but I do," she offered him a quick flashed smile, baring ivory teeth that appeared completely normal for a human, "But I don't bite much. Promise."
Raising a single arm she would allow slender digits to run through her oddly colored hair, pulling it back some as she leaned into the back of her chair. Zoelle lightly glanced between each of the three before her, somewhat questioning what exactly she was doing, but shrugged it off as she met the gaze of the human male.
"I'm Zoelle, pleasure to meet you," Not offering a hand to shake, she merely gave her name and fell into the gap of stillness, allowing Zara and Zia to speak as they please.
Zia took a glance at the human male. She put on a little smirk, she was obviously thinking of something clever to say. "Zia Archipelago, touch my ass, and you're going to get bit," Like Zoelle, she didn't offer a hand to shake, only her name. She realized out of the three of them, Zara was the nicest. Zia let out a little chuckle in her lower toned voice. She noticed how awkward the male was around females, hopefully he wasn't a jock. Zia had sort of a vendetta against jocks, Zia also had a vendetta against a good collection of other types of people, but the list was very long and oddly specific. She sort of wanted to watch the man crash and burn, cheesy pickup lines didn't have much of an effect on her. of course, Zia couldn't say anything for the other women at the table, maybe they had a thing for innuendos and utterly terrible puns, just maybe. Zara Bancroft Zoelle Ryan Thompson
"Th-thank you," Ryan said when the other ginger invited him to the table. His cheeks went red when the purple haired girl, who introduced herself as Zoelle, made a joke about biting. Think of a funny response, Ryan. Think of a funny response... No, I've got nothing. Then the girl named Zia introduced herself. "Oh no, I would never do that. Well not unless you wanted me to. Um, I mean, like if you directly asked me, but I honestly would probably feel uncomfortable about it since I just met you and.... You know what? I'm just going to shut up now before I stick my foot farther down my mouth," he replied awkwardly. "Oh, and my name is Ryan by the way. It's nice to meet you all, too," he decided to add before returning to silence until he decided to make a fool of himself again, something that would probably only take a couple seconds.
"Ryan, in all my years, haven't met a Ryan," Zia muttered to herself after hearing his name. She took a tiny sip of her coffee, she wanted more cake but wasn't going to order more. Society wouldn't take too kindly to that, Zia didn't enjoy to be judged much, no matter how much she flaunted that she didn't care. On another note, it was quite humorous to watch Ryan embarrass himself around Zoelle, Zara and herself. He was a male after all, chasing after any female that had a feature that caught his eye, normally never a facial feature. She tapped the dark nail of her index finger on the table for a moment, thinking. The talk of Zara and her pack interested Zia, so did Zoelle's quips. She was actually just happy to listen to the talk of others. She crossed her long legs, the toes of her combat boots brushing the floor. Though she didn't look like it, she was listening for what the next person had to say. Zara Bancroft Zoelle Ryan Thompson OOC: why am I shipping people already... ARG
"Zia Archipelago, touch my ass, and you're going to get bit," The comment that slung from the darker females lips brought a chuckle from Zoelle's chest. "Awe, well that is no fun at all," The light tease being placed forward as her gaze lingered over the other woman for a moment. She had to admit she didn't care what people thought, she swung both ways. Y'know, a good night, is a good night. No questions asked.
She herself had little interest in the guys cheesy lines. But she didn't say anything. She somewhat wanted to drag him on a little bit more, see how far he could dig a hole himself. "Oh no, I would never do that. Well, not unless you wanted me too. Uh," There he went again, violet lip corners began to pull high as the woman appeared amused by his stumbling words, "I mean, like if you directly asked me, but I honestly would probably feel uncomfortable about it since I just met you, and..."
At this point, Zoelle was chuckling, a single hand raised as she covered her mouth slightly. "You know what? I'm just going to shut up now, before I stick my foot farther down my mouth," Nodding to herself, the vampire could agree, he certainly wasn't the greatest speaker. "Oh, and my name is Ryan by the way. It's nice to meet you all, too," upon his final proper introduction, Zoelle shifted, finally stifling herself to silence as she peered between the group.
"Ryan, in all my years, I haven't met a Ryan," The muttered voice of Zia was just heard underneath the rest of the cafe's chatter. And, before long, everything seemed to sink into the blackness of silence. "Well, wasn't that exciting," Zoelle commented audibly. She herself wasn't too great at conversation holding. Not unless it was interesting. So, yet again, silence accumulated.
Zara watched the scene in front of her unfold. She laughed and giggled to the way everyone was interacting. It was after that silence had settled in that she realized she hadn't introduced herself. "My name is Zara. May I ask what you are doing here?" Her tone was playful and light. She leaned forward so that her weight was resting on her forearms. One eyebrow raised up as she asked her question. She hadn't met someone named Ryan for a long time, and also hadn't seen a natural ginger in quite a while. She was interested in why he was in Toronto. Many stories about humans from her childhood unfolded in her mind. They were curious creatures. She flicked her deep coloured eyes towards the human girl who was serving at the cafe before quickly look back at Ryan. Humans did certainly look nice, but the thought of getting together, or hooking up with one never really crossed her mind. That was until she came into the city and realized how attractive some were. Having only been told stories from her old pack, she was interested in getting to know more about them. What their behavior was, if they were really that different from lycans and vampires. These kinds of things were what made Zara interested in interacting with them.
Her gaze ended up locking onto Ryan's as she waited for his response.
