Lyra looked at all the vampires that had entered. Her blue eyes flickering to each one, observing their features. She gulped down the rest of her drink and watched Xalia approach each one of them. She felt a little crowded, but not overwhelmed. Naturally they'd run into vampires here. It would save them all the trip that she had to make through the forest alone. Lyra was brought out of her thoughts when a female human approached all of them. She spoke as if they were all a group. I guess we are already giving off the presence of a group even though we all just met. This is good, means we will make a strong clan. She half smiled to herself and looked at the human.
"Do you have fries? If so I'd love to have some." Lyra smiled at the girl, her tone soft. Now that all these vampires were here, it would be a while before she would have the chance to hunt with Xalia. I wonder if others will join us. It would be an interesting first 'clan activity'. Thinking about this made her feel even more hungry. The human girl wasn't helping. She had such a nice sweet scent, and was healthy looking. Lyra eyed her slightly, thinking of how exactly she would taste. Now obviously she couldn't just leap at her in public, but that didn't mean her thoughts couldn't wonder.
As Ty lay staring at the open pan of ceiling that was to be the broad sky, he would shift upon the semi-hard surface of mattress within trunk of truck. Chocolate eyes wandering as he listened to the faint chatter of those passing by the end of the alley and his breaths would be inhaled and exhaled in calmed manner testing the waters in case of any disturbances. 'Vampires,' the alert was triggered within his mind, what else was he expecting? This was a decently populated area and it would only be natural for the blood-suckers to be coming out as the day drew later.
Unable to rest easy knowing they lurked within the same shadows he would begin to manoeuvre into a sitting position where legs swung over edge of metal rust-bucket so that he could stand at full height upon pavement below. "Guess I'll go get another drink then," he'd puff to himself, rolling his shoulders back with flannel top rubbing against flesh as he began to head for the alleys exit. Surely a short walk wouldn't kill him as he pulled around the corner and looked towards the somewhat busy establishment he'd earlier been within. "Bet they'll be eyeing up some drunkards to lure for a meal," he'd scoff in unimpressed manner as he worked to try and depict how many trails of filth sat within the current atmosphere's air.
As he reached the doors of the bar and grill he would push it open and let himself in, his eyes almost instantly befalling the more distinct group at the counter conversing and order drinks alongside possibly a small human meal to blend in. 'This should be a neutral territory,' he quickly reassured himself as he let blackened boots strike the ground with audible thumps while carrying himself to his previous, still unoccupied table. "Waitress," he'd let gruff voice carry as he raised a hand lightly, he wanted to order something to satisfy light hunger alongside a drink to wash it away with. Scowering his darkened vision across those scattered throughout the building he would, in the end, allow himself to watch the interactions of what he presumed to be a small, local clan.
Without little care as to whether or not they noticed him, although his 'stench' as many a vampire liked to call it seemed like an instant attraction to gain their displeasing stares. Tyson would remain quite intently curious, merely watching without posing any threat or presenting possible hassle due to his own understanding he had far better things to do than stir up extra trouble. He would wait for the waitress to come over when she was able, and when she did make approach he would begin to examine her instead; the male side of him always over-taking as he let himself assess a human females 'rating' in his mind.
Xalia looked towards Jace, the now named Male as he spoke. She saw that a waitress had approached her group of vampires, and she quietly gave them a small threatening look, saying if they were to be rude they would get the brute end of her scolding. Turning her attention back to Jace, she smiled at the comment. "Oh, I know the Bartender personally, he won't charge me a dime," She said, looking over towards Liam whom didn't have as sharp of ears as he thought he did. She knew that he wouldn't hear her, which is why she had stated it so casually. This male however, hadn't seemed to know her name, so maybe he was just a rogue passing through the territory.
"Tell me about yourself Jace, I'd like to get to know the person I'm buying for," She said with a smile, waving over towards Liam. "I'll take another," She said with a smile towards the white male that stood there, and he gave a smile and nod before getting her drink prepared. It would be the same Blue Russian that she had before, and it soon placed before her in a tidy manner. He didn't shy away from the eyes that glimpsed over him, and Xalia knew that she had attracted the bartender in ways that she could imagine would be dangerous for a Human. Returning her blue gaze towards Jace, she took a sip from her drink, not breaking her eye contact. She really wanted to know what someone like him was doing within the neutral territories, and if the Council had sent him.
The oh-so-mysterious vampire woman gave a glance towards her group of vampire colleagues. It was kind of threatening, and made Jace smile inwardly. Definitely had leadership abilities. She then reverted her attention to Jace, smiling.
"Oh, I know the Bartender personally, she won't charge me a dime," the lady said aloud, though the bartender did not hear her. Jace chuckled as he thought of ways this girl, rather, vampire, knew the bartender personally. He could imagine more ways than one.
"Tell me about yourself Jace, I'd like to get to know the person I'm buying for," she said, smiling again and waving towards a bartender, a different one from before. "I'll take another." She smiled at him, and he returned with a smile and a nod. He seemed to be… well, attracted to her. Thinking about her words, Jace looked forward and smiled as she avoided giving him her name. That was alright, Jace would play along. Rubbing his thumb and index finger along his jaw, a habit he had when he was thinking.
"Well, there's not much. I'm from California, just moved to Toronto tonight. In fact, I've still got all my belongings in a rented moving trailer out back. I guess I'm looking for a clean slate and a nicer, quieter area." And because a specific council asked me to join the clan. Not to mention I needed a clean slate because I was notorious for beating vampires and werewolves to a pulp. He only thought this in his head, and maintained his smile, but in his mind thoughts were swirling. Either way, there was no way for him to prove he had been sent by the council anyhow with that letter he burned but five minutes ago. Even if she didn't require proof of your invitation, there would be no way to prove his real reason for coming here. Not that any of it was important, it was okay to deny the Council's request, right?
Vivian steps off of the bus, fingers wrapped around the handle of her suitcase as she takes a moment to gather her bearings. Anything she might have needed had been provided for her - clothing, money, passports - so it was no wonder that it had been so easy to get here. Well, she was supposed to have arrived seventeen years ago, but that was a technicality that she doubted anyone cared for. I wonder how infuriated the Man would be... Her lips quirk upwards in what might have been a smile.
She had assumed she would have to travel further to a house of sorts, but it would seem that the majority of vampires in Toronto were gathered inside a bar and grill - scent didn't lie, after all. They didn't stink, per se, but vampires definitely smelled different than humans in that they weren't appetizing, and- wait, was there a werewolf in there as well? Her fingers tighten imperceptibly around the handle of her suitcase even as she begins to walk towards the bar. She wasn't frightened of werewolves, nor did she ever feel any overwhelmingly strong urges to fight any, but they were still what her kind was supposed to be at war with. She couldn't just not acknowledge that there was a probably enemy nearby, even if she disliked fighting. But, well, if the sizable group of vampires inside weren't taking action, then action wasn't needed. With the usual air of disconnect about her, Vivian pushes open the door.
It was too easy to identify who was who, what with the way everything was laced out. There was the wolf, separated from the group of vampires but very obviously not human; the scent was all wrong. Then, of course, there were the vampires, all conveniently together and easily recognizable what with their too-graceful movements and such. One among them, a beautiful female with slightly curled brown hair, had an air of confidence and ease about her that suggested control - it wasn't hard to guess that she must be Xalia. However, she seemed to be conversing with a male, and it certainly wasn't Vivian's desire to interrupt. In fact, if she had it her way she wouldn't speak at all - she wasn't ashamed of her damaged voice, but still she preferred to listen to others rather than to speak.
Approaching the group, she sets her suitcase off to the side and out of the way, pulling up a chair and taking a seat among them without uttering a word. If she was addressed, she would identify herself, but otherwise didn't wish to voice her thoughts. After a moment of studying the assortment of people gathered, her eyes become unfocused as her mind drifts to the herbs and medicines she had so painstakingly packed. Even if she wasn't chosen for the position she wished, she still wanted to continue her research.
Astrid Layton
I do not trust easily. So if I tell you "I trust you", please, don't make me regret it.
Astrid shifted nervously as Xalia looked towards the piece of paper clutched in her hand. An expression of surprise crossed her face as the dark-haired leader waved away the letter as though it was meaningless. "Darling, there's no need for that," the other vampire said with a smile. "I find it fit that you aren't lying to me, and if you were, well, the Council should have told you how much I hated liars." Astrid looked to the ground, clearly embarrassed. She had simply been following the orders contained within her letters, but now she felt foolish for doing so, as the female before her had made it clear that such was unnecessary. "Oh..." the girl murmured, her tan face becoming dusted by a light, flustered blush. "My apologies, Xalia. As for introductions, however, my name is Astrid. And trust me when I say that I am most certainly not lying to you. What purpose would I have to do so?" The rhetorical question which she spoke was brought forth with a joking tone, one which hid the truth behind it. A small part of her still struggled to understand why it was the Council suddenly thought she was needing to join a clan, why they seemed to think that she was in need of someone to watch over her. She had spent nearly a century as a rogue and she had done just fine on her own. Why suddenly, after a single battle, had they wanted her to be a part of this clan? Had they finally recognized the power in her battle skills, as had been stated in the letter, or were they simply covering up a belief that she was fragile, needed protection? I'm not fragile, a voice in her mind hissed with menace. I'll prove to them that I'm not.
Having been so lost in her thoughts, Astrid looked up and, surprisedly, found Xalia walking over to take a seat near yet another man, this one also carrying the familiar scent of a vampire. The young vampire's sharp blue eyes drifted to them for but a moment, but she quickly looked away, so as not to be rude. As a child, she had been taught that looking too closely with others whom you were not engaged in a conversation with was highly disrespectful, and she had often been reprimanded for doing such without thinking about it. The girl sighed quietly as she looked down to see that the still piece of paper that was her letter was still clutched between her fingers. She slipped the letter back into her pocket and gazed around quietly, not allowing her piercing gaze the hold onto any one person or object too long. Along with the humans that carried out their business in other parts of the bar, there seemed to be four other vampires in the bar, two males and two females. One was Xalia, and the other female, who had entered with the leader, was characterized by long, dark, wavy hair and many tattoos. One of the males was still locked in conversation with Xalia, one with green eyes and sandy blond hair. The other was tattooed and possessed dark hair and stormy gray eyes. Having taken in her surrounding a bit better, Astrid took a seat at one of the bar stools. Soon after, a blue haired young woman wearing an apron approached them. "Hello! I'll be your waitress for the evening, my names Taliyah, how can I help you?" the human said. The young female vampire nearby made a request for fries, which made Astrid smile slightly. How on Earth was it that this female could be so comfortable speaking to this girl, human or otherwise. Astrid merely shook her head. "I'm fine, thank you," she said hesitantly.
It was quite soon after that that a sharp, pungent scent reached her nose. A hiss-like sound escaped as as she whipped her head around, eyes searching for the werewolf whom had brought the disgusting but oh-so-familiar scent. Before she had even found the creature in question, her right hand had disappeared into the open front of her blazer, reaching deftly, smoothly into the hidden pocket within. Her fingers closed around the hilt of her dagger, drawing it out as her ice-like blue eyes landed upon the black-haired man from which the scent came. The glimmering opal set within the leather-bound hilt of her knife was just barely visible from beneath the fabric of her blazer when she thought better of bringing it out; the sight of a woman carrying such a dangerous and lethal weapon would surely cause a panic amongst the human patrons and employees within the bar. The female vampire slowly returned the dagger to its original place, concealed within her jacket. All the while, her eyes remained trained on the male werewolf, all thoughts of how "rude" staring was vanishing from her mind as feelings of hatred flooded into her mind. A small voice in the back of her mind reminded her that this was not the werewolf who had attacked her, for he was long gone, fallen into the clutches of death by her own hand, but she could not shake the memory of her battle. The maniacal, bloodthirsty expression of Nicolas Heinmann replaced the man's own, the wide, violent eyes tinged by madness just as always in her mind. Astrid's eyes squeezed shut, anger coursing like fire through her veins as she recalled the battle that had brought her to this very situation, the one that had ended with a werewolf's blood on her hands. She felt white-hot pain ripping through her side as she imagined the feeling of the werewolf's claws slicing through her flesh.
The sound of one of the bar's chairs scraping against the wooden floor brought Astrid back to the real world, her eyes flying open. A new figure had joined them, quite obviously yet another vampire by scent. It was a female, one with long hair of flaming red and a face covered by freckles. Astrid's eyes wandered to the newcomer, laced with curiosity. However, she refrained from speaking. She would allow one of the others to speak before she did so herself.
Xalia listened to what the male said, and smiled towards him. He had moved here, but was it on his own accord? Did the Council have anything to do with him at that moment? She pondered upon the thoughts, but she didn't quite want to ask him, considering it could be seen as rude. But as he talked about having all of his stuff within a trailer, she wondered if he had a home to go too, or if he was still working on that part of the moving. Usually, others that were moving here beforehand would purchase a home in order to have somewhere to stay once they got here, but some didn't, which is why she would ask. "Do you already have a home around here?" The question was stated casually, as she knew that it would sound like any normal conversation.
Her blue eyes glanced over towards another Vampire that entered, as well as the smell of a Lycan somewhere in here. She knew that the thing wouldn't do any harm, at least if they were with the pack, or saw the collection of Vampires she had at her disposal to rid of them. No matter how good a Lycan may be at fighting, having at least six or seven vampires there that she could at least ask for help, he'd be looking for trouble if he tried rubbing her the wrong way. She despised Lycans, all except for her hybrid son. That was the only one she could stand, but her son was part Vampire as well, so the Lycanthrope within him wasn't large. Or at least, when she last saw him it wasn't. Who knew what the Council had done to her son once they had taken him into custody.
Shaking the thoughts from her ever growing stack of questions, she was now alert, keeping her attention on the new Vampire, her Clan members, as well as the Vampire in front of her. She couldn't have anything slipping from her attention, especially if it could decide life or death. She didn't know the man in front of her, nor did she know what this new vampire, or this new Lycan that had entered would be capable of. She just hoped they made the smart decision and not make a scene in public.
Dru pulls into the parking lot of Toronto Bar and Grill in her 2015 Ford Hennessey. She'd drove all the way from Portland and was starving. But why not get a drink first? She parks and steps out of the car, she was dressed in an old fashioned way, but who cares? It's Canada, it's still partially cold in the spring. She leaves her coat beside the large suitcase she'd hauled with her. As for the dagger at her side, well she had a 'license' to carry, and she was old fashioned when it comes to weaponry. She wasn't a fan of guns anyway. Besides, the dagger helps her cut apart her victims.
Calixia wasn't happy to see her go, but what can you do when the Council forces your hand? She walks in casually to the bar, only to see a group of vampires already there. 'Isn't this just...wonderful...' She gives an easy grin as she pushes her aviator sunglasses up onto the top of her head. As she walks in, she passes a single Lycan muttering something. "Bet they'll be eyeing up some drunkards to lure for a meal," She spins around with a grin on her face, her fiery hair whirling with her and landing softly against her shoulder. "Actually, drunkards and junkies taste disgusting, they're generally bad for you." She winks and blows him a kiss before turning and heading to the bar. She jumps to sit on an empty bar stool a stool away from another vampire, this one a male(Jackal). She'd disguised her scent so well, it'd be hard to tell she was a vampire if it weren't for the pendant swinging from the chain around her neck. Especially since her skin was pretty dark for a vampire. Even then it was hard, since the pendant kept disappearing into her cleavage. Her shirt's cut made it more difficult, bordering on modest and sexy.
It didn't take long for her sea green eyes to catch the attention of the bartender. Her alluring smile and wink made him have trouble swallowing, and she watched his Adam's apple bob in his throat at his unease. "What can I get you?" She tapped her lips as if in thought, as if she were seriously having to consider what she wanted. Smirking innocently, she answers, "I'd like a Vodka Cran-Apple Martini please. Ooh and can I have a bacon cheese burger with avocado? Cooked to medium rare please." Her eyes dance with mischief as he nods and turns away. It doesn't take long for him to bring her the martini she'd ordered.
When the bartender was busy helping another customer, she slipped a shot of blood into her drink and mixed it in with her straw. Her eyes didn't turn red, since she's had practice with keeping the eyes normal with small amounts of blood, human or animal. Dru sighed as the fix entered her blood stream. It had been almost a week since her last meal, snacks can only go so far. But this current snack could hold her over until she got a chance to hunt. She saw a human girl waiting the tables of the restaurant and admired her physique. She was fairly attractive for a human, and Dru was liking the view. She swiveled in her stool to lean against the bar and crosses a long leg over the other elegantly. She waits for the obvious leader of the clan to make her rounds as she sips her martini innocently. Dru could wait, she was immortal after all, she had all of the time in the world.
As Taliyah waited for the man she had addressed, a woman [Lyra] from the bar piped up. She was grateful to not just stand there with a smile plastered on her face. Answering politely, “Yes, we do, one order of fries,” she said, turning her head to her pad of paper before jotting down the order. Turning her head towards the door as an attractive male [Tyson] came through, she gave a smile his way as a welcome to the restaurant but she doubted he caught it.
She turned her attention to the group, where the other woman [Xalia], who seemed to hold most of the attention at the bar, asked for another drink. However, she addressed her order to her boss, not her, who stood their waiting for orders. At the very least she could’ve addressed Taliyah. That is probably what irritated Taliyah the most, people who could not even have the decency to be polite. Her smile hardened a little as her eyes did the same, she turned her attention to anyone else at the bar.
She turned her attention as someone at the back called for a waitress. She noticed it was the man that came in just a little bit ago. She gave a smile and a nod in his direction to let him know that she would be there in a moment. Noticing that most had either ignored her or had been too busy in their own conversations to take notice of her, she gave a small sigh, inaudible to human ears before flipping the pad closed. She smiled to the one woman who ordered from her, “I’ll get you your fries as soon as possible,” she stated before making her way to the man who called to her earlier.
Approach, she moved a hand behind her ear, pulling some loose blue strands there and out of her face. “Hello, my name is Taliyah and I’ll be your waiter,” she stated with a peppy voice, “What can I get for you, Sir?”
As the bulky male relax upon flat surface of chosen seat he would linger his vision over the gathering mob of vampires, eyes hopping from one silhouette to another as they conversed, ordered food and possibly began deciding on targets for their evening meals. Scoffing under his breath he would hear light remark to his previous muttering, "Actually, drunkards and junkies taste disgusting, they're generally bad for you," the female grinned at him, winking and blowing a kiss as she pivoted on her heels and wandered off again.
"Cocky little creatures," he'd once more scorn towards the retreating fiery haired woman. When he let his eyes scan through the group once more he would settle on the attending human, obviously dyed hair outlining her face as she acknowledged his request for an employee to take his order. "Poor girl doesn't even know what's happening around her," He'd begin commenting to himself, he'd spotted one or two of the vampires eyeing the girl up, almost like a candy bar as she moved around. Peeling his lips apart he would let a smile take hold, ivory teeth being offered as he lifted scruffy chin to meet the eyes of the human approaching, "Hello, my name is Taliyah and I'll be your waiter. What can I get for you, Sir?"
She was so cheery, clearly enjoying her job or at least being new to the area since most were never this 'energetic' in a bar environment. "Taliyah, lovely name," he'd start off voice lingering in a soothing yet rough tone, "I'd love it if I could get a large steak, don't mind what kind of cut." This was the truth, any piece of meat off of the animal at this point would do fine, although he would hope it lacked in too much fat for his own well-being, "Rare would also do me well, I don't like my meat too dark," he almost had a toying accent to his words, but he kept a serious expression bar that inviting smile.
"Oh, and my name is Tyson," he'd let slip towards the ends, hoping she'd gotten what he'd wanted before taking on a quizzical expression, "Hmm, I wouldn't mind a dry beer as well as a side of hot chips, no salad." Oh the idea of a salad partially made him cringe, he didn't hate them, but seriously disliked, if the world wanted him to eat lettuce and other flavorless greens he would of been born a rabbit, the though of which merely set his mind on the track of how he wished he could hunt at that particular point in time.
.:. Addressed: @taliyah .:. .:. OOC: Sorry it is short, also ... I forget what you Americans call hot chips. Fries, chips or what? xD I'm so used to just saying hot chips when going to the fish'n'chip shop.:.
Jace listened to her inquiry, taking his hands with visibly healing bruises and scars and clasping them together on the polished wood bar, his thumbs rubbing circles around his knuckles. He had indeed bought a home, however, he had not seen it in person nor stepped foot in it yet. It was a purchase he made online by contacting a local realtor, so he had yet to make an official opinion on the home. He was not very picky with his homes, he only ensured his had lots of windows with views of the forests and mountains and lands beyond. The most he knew about his house was the square footage, amount of bedrooms and bathrooms (2 and 2) and he had seen a couple of pictures of the views. However, Jace decided it would be more exciting if he did not see pictures of the home and went home to be surprised by its appearance. Hopefully he would not regret that.
“I have purchased a home here, yes,” he replied simply. He had debated about telling little miss nameless about how he had not yet seen the house, but decided that was boring and personal. Small talk was what they were making.
A waiter came over to check on Jace, probably expecting him to order yet another beer. Instead, Jace ordered one of their larger burgers with bacon and avocado, with a side of fries. The waiter simply nodded and was off, getting his meal ready. Jace wished this vampire lady would let him pay for his meal, but he presumed it would be rude of him to decline her offer, and that she would instead insist. He never liked arguing, especially with someone so polite. When his burger and fries arrived, he ate it normally though he was quite hungry: with normal sized bites, not gulping anything down in one swallow. Perhaps after this chat he would go for a hunt of sorts, his own little personal housewarming. For himself.
Xalia looked towards Jace, he was an interesting character to say the least, and he answered her question with nothing other than the answer she knew he might have. He did have a home here, but the way that he seemed to position himself, made him almost seem tense, as if he was simply trying to hide something from her. But, she wouldn't nudge too much, as rogue vampires weren't under the rules the Council had provided. Although there would be no fighting in the neutral territories between the Clan or Pack, if this rogue were to attack her, or one of her own, she'd defend them as well as she could. "That's good you have a home, I'd have offered a place within my clan if not," She said, blue eyes looking towards the Vampires that were mentioned. They'd been getting along together it seemed, even with the presence of a Lycan. Her eyes then flickered back to Jace, whom had ordered a meal from one of the waiters. She smiled at the human food he was getting. It suited the person he was after all, and she'd have not thought any different of his choice upon food.
"It seems I forgot to introduce myself as well, my name is Xalia," She said, looking towards him with curious eyes as she looked around, noticing that there was a female vampire, one that she didn't recognize, within the bar area now. My, they were all flocking to her like a well behaved herd of sheep. She was delighted to see who this female was, and if she held any sort of information from the Council, and that was why she was here. "It seems we have quite the crowd in here today," She mentioned to the male, looking towards him once more. Fairly attractive, he was a pleasure to talk to, and she'd not bat an eye at him if he were of any other sort. But it seems she was taking a liking to the male. "I'll have to go confront the new ones, see who they are, get to know where they came from," She said, rising from her seat, but before she left, she looked towards Liam, the man behind the counter. "Liam, do you happen to have pencil and paper that I could borrow?" She asked him, and he smiled towards her, handing her the supplies she needed without hesitation. "Thank you," She said, smiling towards the male human whom was grinning ear to ear at her praise.
Scribbling down a number, hers specifically, she placed it in front of the male vampire she'd been talking to, giving him a small smile. "I do expect you to contact me if you're ever looking for a clan, or someone to talk too," She said with a playful smirk towards him. She was curious about him to say the least, to see if he would contact her. Part of her was hoping he did, considering he seemed strong and wise, she needed those two attributes within her clan. But for right now, she was going to let the male decipher on his own what he wanted to do while in Toronto.
Picking up her glass, she almost glided over towards the girl with fiery red hair that was present. "Might I ask what a lovely little vampire like you is doing around here?" She said in a hushed voice so that no one could hear her. She'd remain standing, leaning against the bar at most. She'd been all over already, and her and Lyra hadn't had the chance to chase after their prey. Hopefully they'd still catch them on their way out, as they were still dining from what Xalia could hear. Hopefully so; or else she'd hunt another on the way out. The pretty little waitress seemed like a great deal, the one that had served Jace, but she'd feel terrible towards Liam if that were so. She favored the human, like she would a pet. So, she instead settle on one of the patrons if the ones she'd been eyeing before were gone by the time she finished here.
Jackals expression would remain neutral as Xalia walked off to speak with another male, he was slightly disappointed in the loss in attention on him, but that wouldn’t matter much now would it. Instead he took to leaning back against the bar table as the vamps mingled about, his attention would only be drawn when the smell of dog returned to the bar, the man was surprised on this wolf to enter a place filled with vampires, but then again this was neutral territory and so Jackal loss interest in the lycan.
Minutes passed and too more vampires would enter the busy bar, and soon Xalia would return to address one of the two, in it all Jackal would yawn from boredom, excitement was lost from the scene and he would want to bring it back, but he wouldn’t as much as he wanted to cause trouble and be the misfit he was as he could risk causing an uproar within the council, and so instead he took a different approach.
Once the female addressed would reply Jackal would speak up. “Well… Shall we get things moving along?” He would not raise his voice or quiet it, he would simply look to Xalia with a recognizable grin.
OOC:(( Sorry this is a bit bleh, been having to write for a lot of my characters on other sites today in order to catch up with what I have missed, so been just trying to get it all done, hopefully next post will be better.))
Dru was happily sipping away at her fix when the vampiress who had been making her rounds made her way to her. "Might I ask what a lovely little vampire like you is doing around here?" Dru smiled while taking a swig from her glass. She would lean back against the bar, propped on her elbows, and set her glass down before replying. "You caught me." She smiles at the raven haired beauty. "I think the better, more important question is, what is a beautiful Clan Mistress doing in a bar like this? A dashing young woman like you deserves class, elegance." Upon receiving an answer, she'd open her mouth to say something, but the bartender would interrupt. "Ma'am, your burger." She would turn to take it from him with a smile in thanks and would promptly put a $100 bill in the tip jar. She would proceed to take a bite of the burger and chew it thoughtfully before responding to the Mistress.
"I'm sure you know about the impending war? The one that your other recruits probably don't know about."She'd wipe her mouth and sip at her martini, allowing the Mistress to process the information. "You see, I know about it because I am a veteran. This isn't the only clan, there are hundreds, I came from the Portland Clan on the Council's orders. They should've called you or emailed you, but I doubt they did. Our war was just over, the Treaty just signed, when they decided to throw me back into another one." She would take another bite of her burger, chewing it calmly while the vampiress took in the information. "Supposedly, they want me here to train you warriors, and teach them where exactly you need to strike a Lycan. However, I think the real reason I am here, is because my sister is here. She's a Lycan, you see. It's my punishment to fight her since I killed the Vampiress who turned me. Evelyn Peterson was her name, did you know her? She was apparently well known." Having finished her burger, she'd sip at her martini and order a water while she waited for the Mistress to respond.
Xalia looked towards the vampire, seeing that she was providing flattery with her first statement, returning the gesture that Xalia had extended towards the female in front of her. listening to the red haired female in front of her, Xalia let a small frown come across her face. What was this, some sort of extensional mission that the vampire was upon? The Council had told her there would only be one battlefield and that was here. "I'm sorry, but I haven't heard any news of others being within wars, I can understand if there's another clan that you've come from, and the Council drug you here simply for the matter of strengthening our numbers, but they've only told me of this battlefield. It would be too catastrophic to have more than one, if you remember our history correctly of course," Xalia said, looking to the Vampire in front of her. She knew that this might go right over the female in front of her, but instead, she turned her attention towards Jackal, the male she'd been toying with during the first few moments of her time here.
Smiling towards him politely, she did notice that her meal was gone, and that left only one thing to do, was bring the newcomers back to the house. "I don't care about your past, you're here under my rules. I will see your worth, and will determine what you will do for my Clan," She said, a small, dangerous look slithering across her face as she gazed upon the red head she'd been talking too previously again. She knew that she needed to show she wasn't just a playful leader. She could kill if she really had too. And she wasn't afraid too either. Bringing her attention towards Jackal, she smiled sweetly towards him. "We should get all of you home, and fitted into the house as soon as possible," Her eyes quickly looking towards Jace once more if he were still there. Her gaze lingered, and then drifted back towards the group, acknowledging the other that was there. "You can introduce yourself later my dear, I'm assuming you'll be accompanying us to the house," She stated, not leaving it a question for the girl to answer as she looked to the bar, waving to Liam before heading towards the door, ignoring the Lycan that was there completely. She hated the foul beasts.
They were the reason that her son was taken, that her son had to be different, and treated differently. She'd have them pay for that, and she'd not stop at anything for such a punishment to be dealt for by her, and her alone. She would make them atone for what they'd done, and the things that they'd done to make her child suffer. Although it was just one, it made her hate the entire species that was before her, engaging her clan in battle. Letting out a small hiss as she exited the place, she tried to calmly make her way outwards, before dashing back to the house, knowing that the others would hopefully follow.
