It had been a day that Acacia could easily label as slow and uneventful, the sky's vibrant cerulean color being tainted by the occasional shapes of small scattered ivory clouds. It carried the softest breeze, one that faintly whistled as it kissed the leaves of many tree's, a sound a mere human wouldn't notice but a lycan could easily distinguish and indulge. The bright greenery of surrounding forest being lightly scanned in side-ways manner by faded lime oculars. Acacia lay upon middle step that separated porch into different levels, her arms rested casually to her sides where hands overlapped upon her flattened abdomen, legs taking opposite courses as one rest flat and the other sit propped with knee pointing towards the sky.
"What are you doing over there Christian?" The females voice was soft, almost child-like as she addressed the nearby male, offering little effort to glance in his direction. She'd taken a small liking to the male, he'd been sent as she had to this place, the Council offering them the help they needed if they were willing to battle the Vampires. It was an odd offering, but she wished to know whom had slain her family, whom was on her list to relinquish from this world. "You better not be chewing on another stick," she would continue on, platinum blonde locks lightly outlining her face as she moved her cranium to finally watch the slightly younger male, a chiming chuckle escaping her rosy lips as she spotted him somewhat doing what she'd assumed him to be doing.
"Shouldn't you have grown out of that?" she teased him in a friendly manner, her words mocking him although she wasn't aiming any rudeness. Shifting the slightest where she lay she would pull her face back around, letting her eyes watch the masterful sky continue to shift and move, the light breeze caressing soft cheek's flesh as she merely let faint smile sit upon her lips. To most she wouldn't seem like the role she upheld, she was too relaxed and kind most of the time, but that didn't seem to bother her as she let thoughts trail to when the next lycan's would arrive, surely the council had more intended for this sad excuse of a pack, if it could even be called that at this point.
Letting herself sink into a lulled state of content she would merely enjoy the pleasantries of the early evening, Christian proved interesting company and she would remain silent until his response to her words.
Kari padded at a swift pace through the woods, her body weaving gracefully between the densely packed trees and shrubs. Deep chocolate brown eyes flitted from place to place as though they were frightened birds, flickering in every direction in search of her destination. I must be close, she thought wearily, tired from the long journey she had made. Despite her exhaustion, the young lycanthrope kept moving. She had come this far; there was no sense in turning back now. Her thoughts drifted back to when she had received the command from the Ontario Council to go to this pack. What was to become of her if she found herself unable to find them? She shook away the thought. It was pointless to fret over such things.
As she continued to lope through the woods, Kari caught a glance of bright light through the trees, revealing an area where the woods were much less dense. The wolf's pace slowed to a brisk walk as her lupine face turned to examine the area more closely. Peering through the thinning trees, Kari glimpsed a rather large structure nestled within the clearing. A house? she thought to herself. What's a house doing out here in the middle of nowhere? Then it came to her. Perhaps this was the residence of the pack she was meant to find?
Riding on the hope that this was her destination, Kari slipped through the trees silently. As her paws hit clear dirt, unblocked by trees or shrubs, she took in her surroundings. Now closer to the house and with her vision unobstructed by plant life, Kari noticed two other life forms outside the house. One was a large male wolf, possessing a pelt of white flecked by a small patch of black, relaxing in the yard. He was chewing on what appeared to be a stick. The other was a young woman, perhaps a little older than Kari herself, with platinum blond hair framing her face.
Kari took a deep breath and stepped away from the trees, assuming her human form. Tawny and black fur melted away to reveal light skin and human clothes, consisting of dark jeans, sandals, and a light blue blouse. Long, dirty-blond tumbled over her shoulders in a cascade of smooth waves. She gazed warily at the male wolf as she passed, coming to a halt a few feet away from the young woman. She was now nearly certain that this was her destination. No average wolf was as large as the male, and it seemed unlikely that a human would be so calm around such a mammoth beast as the girl was. It was more than likely that the two were lycanthropes, the very ones she had been searching for. Kari's fiery brown gaze turned to the other girl. Her voice was completely serious as she spoke, barely the slightest hint of any other emotion revealing itself in her tone. "My name is Kari," she said. "I am assuming that you are Alphess Acacia?"
He had been preoccupied, sniffing around for something to find to do. He'd been shifted for a little while now, almost more comfortable in his wolf form than he was in his human form. Blue eyes shifted when he heard the sound of his Alpha's voice, and his ears made themselves swivel to listen to her words. She was teasing him about finding another stick, and he rolled his eyes, looking to her playfully. "Oh yeah, well I'm not, I haven't found a good enough one yet," His voice was deep, pulling from his vocal chords with ease. He had said the statement with mock sarcasm, and looked to her, his blue eyes glimmering with mischief as he continued his search for something. He wasn't quite sure on what he was looking for either. But he hoped that he'd find that something. But, as the male had found his time to be in one area boring, he moved his white self towards Acacia, looking towards her. "So, tell me, what would my lovely Alpha want for dinner tonight? Its should be about time to start-" As he was talking to Acacia he had shifted, but his words were cut off by a foreign voice, something that was new to his ears.
The now brunette turned his head to see a girl that was young, and rather good looking if he would say so. Of course, he thought that of most girls he came across. But all the same, he would greet her once Acacia had. But that didn't stop him from eyeing her with his bazzling blue eyes, a smirk upon his features as he traced the outline of her body, looking over her with a subtle hint of curiosity, and that oh so dangerous glint that told her that she interested him slightly. Although, he wasn't currently interested in her like some would think he was, he certainly was curious.
Alphess Acacia
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack - Rudyard Kipling
As she remained where she was, listening to the forests mixed sounds and breathing in the gentle sway of air around her she would listen as the younger Beta spoke up, "Oh yeah, well I'm not," he started off, having not yet found the perfect stick to satisfy his taste as he mocked female in toying tone. His approach going easily noticed by the well relaxed blonde whom seemed to offer the faintest of affectionate smiles in his direction, she took pride in her fondness for those she called family and to her everyone within growing pack would be seen as such. "What would my lovely Alpha want for dinner tonight?" this question brought an almost quizzical, but visibly sheepish smile to her face, almost as if she enjoyed having someone else do the cooking although she didn't mind it herself, his words of further speech eventually cutting off as a second female entered the scene.
"My name is Kari," she started off, "I am assuming that you are Alphess Acacia?" This question brought the lithe female to roll her head to the side, looking to the darker blonde whom now stood before her. "Your assumptions are correct, Kari," she took on a more stern voice, Christian may of been able to tell she was just playing at this point although for how long would be another thing, "And what, exactly, brings you here? I'm sure you can guess, but, we don't really like intrusion upon private property," these words were a bit hard, ringing in that she was most certainly was in charge. Her face filled with very little expression as her recent smile faded and olive eyes grew deeper, she wasn't the harsh type, but she did enjoy a little bit of fun. While the male who now stood nearby assessing Kari like an object may of known she was just teasing new-comer with a more stern nature than truthful of the female, the feeling that she emit wreaked of her true status which would merely make this intruder feel as though Acacia meant every bit of unyielding speech offered.
She would not yet rise, seemingly content where she was in more vulnerable laying position upon step; she merely stare with glaring gaze awaiting Kari's next move be it movement or explanation.
Genesis rolled her small, rolling suitcase along. Black, compact, and light, it had all she needed in it, hopefully she would have someplace to put her belongings. That is, if she was allowed to stay here. Her black wedges crunched against the grass and dirt, taking her farther with each step. She wore a white, wrap-like pencil skirt that ended about mid-thigh, with a black, flowing blouse upon her torso. Her waist-length, ashy-platinum hair was pulled up into a ballerina bun. Just a few hours ago, Genesis had been in a city a little ways away from this Toronto town when a Council of sorts had beckoned to her. To put it simply, they were interested in her joining 'The Pack.' Only telling her the location and the name of the person she would want to speak to, Alphess Acacia, they then left. Genesis, feeling as though this were important and not having anything else in particular to do, packed all her journals and two outfits in her suitcase and left. Now that she was here, all that Genesis could think of was how curious she was. She had never been in a pack before; heck, she hadn't even seen another Lycan in years. However, that was already starting to change. As each step took her closer to the house, the scents of Lycans came clearly into Genesis' nostrils, clinging to the sides and getting stronger with every inhale. Genesis would not lie, she was happy she would be with her own. This forest was so alive and so teeming, bursting with all kinds of scents and sounds and sights. Along the way, Genesis looked at every plant, every shrub and bush and tree, and identified it and its properties. It was a game she played, keeping knowledge fresh in her mind and passing time faster. As the house came into view amongst the trees, Genesis looked away from the plants and towards the house itself, her blue eyes taking in every detail. Out front was a porch, where the three Lycans she had previously scented were placed. A male, and two females, one of whom seemed more in-charge. She assumed that was the alphess. A bit of adrenaline and happiness surged through her veins at the presence of fellow Lycans. Rolling her suitcase to a stop, she kept one hand on the handle and another at her side. She looked towards the platinum-haired lady who Genesis assumed was the alphess. "Hello, am I correct to assume that you are the Alphess Acacia?" Genesis asked politely, bowing her head slightly like she usually did to important people. "I hope I am not intruding," Genesis said, unsure of whether or not these three had been mid-conversation.
Genevieve had left Florida 8 days ago, as instructed by the Council, so that she may serve a purpose in this "pack." The thought that she might have to live around so many of their kind perturbed her. Genevieve still had not come to terms with her lycanthropy, preferring to ignore her heightened sense and sight, along with her very common cravings for rare meat. However she relied on her advantages in senses to succeed in her medical field.
Somewhere along the way, probably in one of the mid-western states, she called the number the Council had provided her. She was to get a hold of "Alphess" Acacia and to let her know that she was on her way to the pack home, that she had just finished Medical School and that she had her doctorates. To Genevieve's knowledge, she would not have to be competing for the position of pack doctor. She still did not like calling it Solutary, as of yet. Although, the term had become more welcoming as her she rode on her Harley for the past week. This gave her a lot of time to think about what was to come of her and of this new life style. How could she fit in when she did not even accept herself? Gen did not have an answer for that, all she knew was her passion for medicine, and by going to a place she hoped she was needed would make her at least somewhat happy.
She had probably crossed Oregon border sometime at four or five in the morning. She could've stopped for the night, freshened up a little before she met her new home and "family." However, being anxious, Gen had rode through the night, blinking sleep out of her eyes as she sped down the open and mostly deserted freeways. All Genevieve had were her documentations of her education, medical history, and a dufflebag full of clothing. She had sold most of her belongings before traveling here to buy the baby beneath her. She was proud, she had always wanted one, and being more impulsive than she was ten years ago, she bought her. Gen called the Harley a her, even had a name; Athena.
Now the time was early morning, probably ten if Gen had been keeping track during her stops at lights and signs, and the occasional potty break. She let her motorcycle come to a crawl as she went through deep forested woods, the road here thankfully cleared enough for vehicles. She would be upset if she would have to store her new baby somewhere else. Turning around a bend, she saw the house down the last long stretch of dirt road. Letting the rumble of her vehicle sound her appearance, she pulled up to the side where there was enough room for vehicles.
Stepping off her black and red beauty, she kicked the kick stand, and turned to face four individuals. "Damn, I'm beaten to the party," she commented under her breath. She looked over the three women, her eyes barely racking over the male. They were all fine looking individuals, but she was only here for one. Genevieve pulled some papers out of a compartment on her motorcycle before turning her full attention onto the female on the porch. It was obvious who this woman was, by the way she lounged and her ownership of the home. This was Alphess Acacia.
Stepping forward, past the other two women, but not past the male. she stood straight as board. Although she remembered her knowledge of wolves and did not look directly into the woman's eyes. She shoulders were tense but she tried not to look nervous or anxious. She tried not seem like she brushed the women off either, obviously by having paperwork within her grasp while the others did not, she felt she might have a bit more - what is the word - priority over the other two. This might be her more dominant side coming out when dealing with strange women, or those she found attractive, however neither was the case this time. She simply wanted to get introductions out of the way, preferring to move forward quickly than to wait her turn.
"Acacia, I am Genevieve Tennant, we spoke on the phone earlier this week, I'm sorry it took so long for me to get here," she said, giving a nod of her introduction. Genevieve was still more human than wolf, so if she were to offend the Leader of the pack by not addressing her as Alphess, than she would not know that, she would be oblivious to that discretion. Genevieve would have loved to approach the woman to shake hands more formally but the presense she was exuding kept her rooted to her spot. She simply waited for the woman to make her move.
Lyula stopped, craning her head back to look at the top of the house. This must be the the place the Council was talking about. Why else would there be a house in the center of a forest? Rolling her shoulders, on which rested a black backpack, Lyula shrugged her gradient blue hair down her back. It was blowing into her face, and if it were to tangle, it would be a huge pain to untangle. Her pale grey- blue eyes narrowed in frustration, but she forced herself to ignore it and instead climb the stairs to the house. Thre were alraedy five people - Lycans- there, four emales, and one male. "Acacia, I am Genevieve Tennant, we spoke on the phone earlier this week, I'm sorry it took so long for me to get here." The one with the name Genivevieve, clutching paper, spoke directly to an eased - looking person who Lyula guess immediatley was the Alphess. Stepping forward, she too told the Alphess, Acacia, her name. "Hello, I'm guessing that you're Alphess Acacia, right?" Without waiting for a response, she continued in her confident drawl, "I'm Lyula, and I was sent by a Council, to speak to you? I was sent to join 'The Pack'." She dropped her little backpack off her shoulders, leaned against a wall and waited for the Alphess's response.
Kari faced the young woman before her, waiting patiently for a reply. It finally came, delivered in a stern voice tinged with dominance. "Your assumptions are correct, Kari. And what, exactly, brings you here? I'm sure you can guess, but, we don't really like intrusion upon private property." Kari's eyes narrowed the slightest bit, but she relaxed quite quickly. She had become unaccustomed to such harsh dominance in her years as a rogue, and even her years in her old pack had been spent as beta, a position where none but the alpha could speak to her that way. She did, however, realize that she had indeed intruded on Acacia's territory, so it was that Alphess's every right to speak to her that way. "I understand, Alphess. However, I was sent here by the Council, to join 'The Pack'. Your pack." Kari's voice retained every ounce of seriousness it had before, but now wavered with something else. Unsureness. Was Acacia allowed to turn her away? And if so, would she?
Kari's eyes flickered with anxious anticipation as she waited for the Alphess's verdict. For a split second, they landed on a young brunette man whom Kari assumed to be the same wolf who, previously, had been chewing on a stick, as the beast had now disappeared. She gave him a curt nod of greeting before turning back the the Alphess. It was not long, however, that they were joined by another new face. This was a blond woman dragging a suitcase behind her as she walked, the sound of which was the first thing to alert Kari to her presence. The girl asked a very similar question to the one Kari had before, inquiring if Acacia was in fact the alphess.
Before Acacia had the chance to reply, however, the sound of an engine cut through the still air. The motor cut off, and was soon replaced by the sound of footsteps that revealed a red-headed woman clutching papers in her hand. The woman exuded an air of dominance and superiority, which made Kari uncomfortable. There was no place for such things in a pack where you are to be a subordinate. The woman spoke up, introducing herself as Genevieve Tennant. Yet another new face made its appearance as Genevieve spoke, this one characterized by gradient blue hair and gray-blue eyes. The newcomer barely waited an instant before introducing herself as Lyula, her voice drawling with confidence.
Kari now found herself feeling uncomfortable. Everything about her screamed distrust, from the expression of wariness held in her chocolate-hued eyes to her body language, the way she stood with her arms crossed and her entire body tense as though prepared to attack or run. Ever since her pack's murder, Kari had not done well around people she did not know, and so many at once made her uncomfortable. Even though she was in her human form, a low growl still echoed in her throat. "It looks like I started something," she muttered sarcastically, not sure if anyone else could hear her and not really caring, either. She brushed a lock o hair behind her right ear - a nervous tick she had developed a long time ago and did whenever she was agitated - and gazed with discomfort towards the other four women. She backed away slightly and resisted the urge to enter her wolf form, where she had grown to feel most comfortable as she was better able to protect herself. No, she told herself firmly. She would remain a human so long as the others did. She would not allow herself to appear afraid in front of these people.
Rayne's smaller frame perched so catlike on the gnarled branch of and old oak tree, the beautiful vision of a modern cabin-like house stole her attention as she peered through the treetops. It had been exactly six days since the Council had contacted her, and they rarely did. One of their more secretive spokesperson had left her with a note and an address, now here she was. Rayne was always uneasy when they tried to contact her, everytime a man or woman would approach her so out of the blue that it almost startled her, every. Time. But this must've been a special occasion, because this time she was only slipped a small peice of paper into her pocket without her realising. Council people always managed to slip past her keener senses, and they never invited her into any offical facilities.
Letting one of her small, smooth hands retract from the rough bark beneath her, she reached around to her small black backpack ,which held everything she would need, and slipped a peice of paper out of one of the side pockets. Rayne's cool ocean green/grey eyes roved over the Council seal before reading the note again, as if to reassure herself that this was happening.
Rayne De la Forêt, You are to proceed to the address attached and seek a Lycan by the name of Acacia. You will provide your Salutary skills only if needed, as we have sent another healer to this pack already. If the Pack does not require your further knowledge of herbs then you will be at the disposal of the Alphess. Do not take your time arriving at the Pack House, do not disobey Council instructions and do not cause trouble.
With a small sigh, Rayne tucked the paper into her bag once more and readjusted her stance on the thick branch. She swung her feet off and let go of the branch with her delicate hands. An almost inaudible thud was all that could be heard as she landed so gracefully on a lower branch. From this position she could clearly see the porch of the house she was to be staying at. It looked quaint and a bit over crowded. So, with another sigh, she sat herself down and let her feet swing to and fro in the cold air. She decided it would be best to wait until she was called out for now obviously being there rather than add herself to a party that would be already somewhat overwhelming to the Alphess, who she had now spotted out as a beautiful blonde.
As a cool breeze brushed through her chocolate curls and froze her porcelain skin, she pulled the favourite red woollen jumper closer to her body as she awaited Acacia to call her over.
Christian had kept his eyes upon the female, trained upon her like she was a deer, and he was a wolf looking to make the kill. He didn't want to kill her no, simply just maybe take a small nimble of her. But that would simply be something that he would do at a later time, as right now, more wolves were showing up by the minute. He could smell them from a mile away, not literally, but he was good enough with his nose that he knew they were approaching the territory. Acacia's outward appearance towards the wolves was amusing, she was trying to act like she was a stern Alpha, when Christian knew that she indeed wasn't. Chuckling at her response towards all the new wolves, although more appearing after she had made her statement towards the now named female, Kari, he looked towards the others.
They all caught his eye, although he would say that any female could. They sparked his interest within them, but only to a certain extent. None of them seemed to be something he would want to settle down with, not yet anyways. He'd of course just met them and all, but having so many female's around was a great time waiting to happen. He was the only male within the pack at the time, so he could have as much fun as he would think he could, so long as he kept respectful. He knew that some female's weren't that accepting of more than friendly gestures, but he'd been slapped enough times that it didn't effect him at all. He'd simply just move on and away from the gestures, especially if they weren't willing to participate. But, he kept his mouth shut, just simply observing as he pulled his body into a more dominant position, telling the other wolves that he was of some importance to the pack.
Alphess Acacia
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack - Rudyard Kipling
"I understand, Alphess. However, I was sent here by the Council, to join 'The Pack'. Your pack," the darkened blonde began to respond to the downed females question, her voice feminine but also clearly humorless. It wouldn't take long for the platinum haired creature to let a smile over-take her stern expression, "I'm just toying with you, Kari. I'm pleased to hear the," she let her more enticing voice die down as the sound of rolling wheels and crunching steps began to filter in the air. She somehow managed to keep herself down, merely cocking her head to watch the approach of yet another unfamiliar face, another dirty blond that was. "Hello, am I correct to assume that you are the Alphess Acacia?" with a amiable tone and subtle nod the new voice would ring in steadied woman's ears, "I hope I am not intruding," she would continue and before a reply could even be forked out she would begin to arise.
Placing herself in an upright sitting position she would let faded emerald vision dance over the forms before her, the sound of a motor keeping her silent as she assumed yet another would arrive and expect such an answer of her status to be given. The third new-comer arrived on a black and red motorcycle, red dread-locked hair falling to frame her face and loosely sitting to just bellow her chest, "Damn, I'm beaten to the party," she mumbled to start off, presumably not aiming it at anyone in particular but her faint under-breath comment was to be taken note of either way. Acacia would focus upon this sole target, her expression almost blank if it weren't for the gracious smile toying with her lips, the woman rummaging through her cycle to find something in particular was of unique taste and Acacia would begin to maneuver to an upright stand upon middle step.
"Acacia, I am Genevieve Tennant," oh these words visibly brought a smile to the woman's lips further as the other began to apologize for her lateness and mentioned how they may of known each-other. "Genevieve, thank you for coming," the lithe taller female spoke down towards the shorter, her voice soft and filled with nothing but audible satisfaction. She extended singular hand, willowy limb allowing frail looking fingers to spread awaiting the paperwork in which Genevieve held. Rolling her shoulders back she took in a more heightened posture, her head lifted and eyes more inquisitive yet stern, scanning those so near along with the blue-topped creature who'd gotten closer during previous females talking. She began her introduction by asking the same question as the others, this would go without answering as she continued on, "I'm Lyula," was the predominant part paled female seemed to be awaiting, though she listened to the fact the council had sent her also.
"It appears my curiosities of when the next Lycans were to arrive have been answered," toying tone was to be offered as she let off a light-hearted chuckle aimed mostly at the singular male standing off to the side. Acacia would take note of the visible uncertainty bubbling off of the first female gathered, partial rumble sitting in her throat as she stood, arms crossed over chest and rigid posture taking hold. "You are all correct in assuming who I am," she spoke in a more solemn tone, her delicate smile remaining where it was as she looked to each of them one by one, "And what is your name?" As this question was spoken she would settle light gaze on Genesis, expecting the woman to avoid direct eye-contact as many usually did, she had not yet stated her name whilst each other newly arrived had. Waiting until after the woman had a response she would shift lightly upon lengthy legs, "It appears Christian has been outnumbered today, I do hope he doesn't feel to overwhelmed by such appealing creatures," she held the mischievous tone of playful bantering in regards to her second best waiting so near, well-placed chuckle following suit as she peered in his direction. She didn't seem ashamed of stating what she had, each female gathered was indeed a pleasing sight, even for herself, though she held very little interest at this point she couldn't truly lie about it straight off the bat.
"Now, I'd like to start of by welcoming you all to your new home," she slightly side-stepped as she allowed her unoccupied arm gesture towards the house behind her, assuming she had the papers in the other, "We have plenty of rooms available for you to claim as your own, but please do be respectful if it appears occupied then do find another." As she spoke in the same welcoming tone she would then nod towards Christian, "Christian here is my Beta, I expect to hear of no one proving disrespectful towards him or any other," these words were more stern, the lathering expectation of obedience to this regard being put on the table directly. "I will tell you now, I don't take kindly to those who break our laws," the last two words were high-lighted, 'Our Laws', the laws of the pack should of been known to all, "If you do not know these laws, feel free to ask although they should be easy to figure out. We are a family now, and so each of us is to get along."
As she finished off her small speech she would turn towards the house's main entrance, a set of double glass-pane doors. "Please do come inside and head to the living room if you can," her words trailing as she began moving towards the doors, hands reaching to pull the handles downwards and draw both wide open, "And do make yourselves at home." Stepping off to the sides she would allow everyone to make their own way inside, the first room being presented to their eyes notably a section of the kitchen wherein nothing sat until further inwards where a large wooden dining table and numerous chairs could be seen in-front of a modern kitchen. The lounge would be off to the other side of the kitchen through an opened doorway, it was tucked away in a snug little open-plan corner where plenty of cushioned seats waited.
"That includes you," she spoke in a more discernible tone, eyes watching the tree-tops in the distance as she'd taken note of something off-sounding. Whomever was there was being given permission to come closer, but Acacia would remain standing at houses door. Dominance blazing from her flesh as she watched closely in case this particular guest was unwelcome, but all the same she knew she needed to see or meet the tree-dwelling creature to know for certain, lycan or not.
.:. OOC: Please feel free to post in any order as we are heading inside now so anyone can post their exit to there .:.
Everett trotted through the forest with smile spread across his face. He knew that he was close now, being able to smell all the lycans. When he finally broke through the bushes, his bright green eyes flickered from one person to the next. After so long of searching, he finally had the chance to join something that would make him feel like he belonged. He couldn't thank the council enough. His excitement showed as he walked up towards the others, stopping a few yards away. His eyes landed on the female who was no doubt the leader. He immediately straightened up, trying to be more formal.
"Hello, my name is Everett. I was sent here by the council, I hope that I will become accepted into your pack." His tone was assertive and formal. His eyes sparkled with happiness even though he tried to be serious. He hoped that he was making a good impression.
Rayne listened with curiosity to the Alphess's words. So far she seemed like a strong and friendly leader, of course that's all she could make out from up in a tree. As Acacia told everyone to move inside Rayne's eyes quickly flickered over all the Lycans, assessing them for anything she might have to note. The only thing that caught her eye was the lone male, standing off to the side with a strong dominate stance, even from a distance Rayne could see him gazing over all the females as if they were desserts. Typical males, of course she was accustomed to this kind of behaviour, because of her unfortunate good looks she couldn't walk through town without being eyed up and down by every guy she walked past, the feeling was almost invasive, but she had become used to it.
"That includes you," Her Lycan hearing could hear those words so clearly even from a distance. With a playful smile etched upon her lips, Rayne loosened her grip on the branch beneath her and swung down to the ground with her catlike grace, the sound of her converse hitting the ground only in a small whisper. With one throw of her head, her soft curls were thrown over her shoulder and out of her face as she began to walk towards the Alphess, a friendly and bubbly attitude bounced on Rayne's smile. "It's nice to meet you, Alphess Acacia. My name is Rayne and, as you've probably already guessed, the Council has sent me here." She reached back and slipped the piece of paper out of her backpack once again, her chocolate hair falling against the side of her face in the one gentle motion. "I am to provide my Salutary skills if they are needed, if not I am at your disposal." She read out loud for the Alphess to hear, a friendly smile still spread across her face.
Rayne thought that she should probably make her way inside along with everyone else, but she stayed behind for anything else the Alphess had to say to her.
Christian listened, eyes keen upon Acacia's figure as she spoke. He had expected her words to go from harsh to a much friendlier tone once she got over the idea of wanting to tease the Lycans before her. The brunette brought his hand up to brush through his hair, pulling it towards its natural part as he awaited for his instructions. Acacia had mentioned him of course, giving him a rather well introductory sentence, which was good enough for him. He would focus more on himself once he had dinner prepared, since he would now be cooking for a large amount of people instead of for himself and Acacia. Thinking about what exactly he could cook that would suit some of their likes, which he would get a small taste of once they were inside the home. His gaze however, caught on the girl that jumped down from the trees, and the male that approached just before her. 'Oh great, way to spoil the fun,' he sarcastically gave the remark to himself, knowing that Acacia wouldn't like him greeting new members as such.
But his gaze lingered on the girl, blue eyes curious by her, wanting to know why she had hidden herself. It hadn't gone unnoticed by the Alphess or himself, but he wondered why she had made the attempt of trying to hide herself instead of actually approaching the two like the others had. Christian held his dominance however, looking down towards the male that was now present. He wouldn't give this male any inch against Christian. It was a small little thing with him, but this male did walk in on his territory. Although he had no issues with females, males almost always had a pure dominant nature to them, in either species really. They always needed to prove that they were better than the other male there. Which he intended to show later on, once he was more accustomed to the other newcomers as well. He knew that Acacia would see his shift in attitude towards the male, but he beckoned for all the already invited wolves to follow him into the house, giving them all a charming smile before following into the house, hoping to get to talk to them, while still keeping an ear on the new male.
